The Great Little Party Company

This week it was my bestest friend’s birthday and the week before it was her daughter’s, so what better thing to do than to throw them a mini birthday party. Thank to The Great Little Party Company that was easy.

Liz, a working mum of two has just started this new party box company. So here’s what she has to say; Continue reading The Great Little Party Company

Making Painting a Doddle

I little while ago I was approached by Lakeland to review one of the amazing products they stock, Doddle Bags. We were completely won over and you can read why here.

Not long after the review, Nadine, the creator of Doddle Bags got in touch to say thanks and sent us a lovely gift of paints, canvas’s and more Doddle Bags with the paint brush attachments.

Animal Jam Fun

Hopefully you saw the Animal Jam Twitter Party I helped host a few weeks back, well since then L has been sent a bundle of the toys to play with and guess what? He loves them! He’s always asking to play with his nanimals.

In case you don’t know much about Animal Jam, I certainly didn’t until recently. It’s an online game for kids that has been made with National Geographic. You get to collect animals, decorate their houses, change how they appear, play games and find out loads about the Animal Kingdom. Continue reading Animal Jam Fun

Refreshing the Toddler – Nurture Fruity Water+

With all this hot weather we haven’t been able to pack enough drinks for L, so when we were sent some samples of Nurture Fruity Water+ the timing couldn’t have been better.

They come in non spill pouches that can just be chucked in the bottom of our day bag. Now L hated the pouches and found them really difficult to drink from but I loved them as it meant he could have them in the back of the car and I didn’t have to worry. What we ended up doing though was taking a bottle of drink and then when he had finished it, transferring a pouch of the Nurture Fruity Water+ into his empty bottle. Feeling Calm #30

For my birthday I was given a great new book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends. To help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday and on Wednesday’s I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

This week has been pretty standard. A few days just me and the boy, work, mess and a lot of pitching for new clients. It has been fun picking my favourite moments.

So here are my top 10 moments from the past 7 days; Continue reading Feeling Calm #30

Fun on the Broads with Herbert Woods

This year to celebrate  their 90th anniversary Herbert Woods added the new Starlight 24 Picnic Boats to their day hire fleet.

It is the first new design of the original Picnic Boat designed by Herbert Woods in 60 years. So of course we felt it only right that we tested it out.

We picked a great day for it, the sun was shining, there was a nice breeze and we were ready for a fun day out on the water.

The original plan had been to head out under Potter Heigham Bridge and go towards Horsey, exploring the broads that end of the county. But the tide was too high for us to actually get the boat under the bridge though, so instead we put Neatishead in our sights. Continue reading Fun on the Broads with Herbert Woods

Our Day at The Wayland Show 2016

The Wayland Show 2016

Last weekend we took L to The Wayland Show. I can’t believe we hadn’t been before, I felt sure we must have done, but no, this was our first visit.

The Wayland Show is held in Watton, it has loads of parking and there is so much to see and do. We were lucky to have an amazing sunny day, if a bit blustery and L had just the best time.

We loved the fact that as soon as we arrived the local Lions Club was on hand with free wristbands for the kids in case they wandered off, which was super handy as L was so excited he went a bit feral.

We headed to the show for the afternoon and were a little concerned we might have missed the best of it but we really hadn’t. Continue reading Our Day at The Wayland Show 2016

Feeling Calm #29

For my birthday I was given a great new book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends. To help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday and on Wednesday’s I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

It’s been such a frustrating week. So many potential clients interested in working with me but nothing that’s actually come through. It has been cathartic picking my favourite moments.

So here are my top 10 moments from the past 7 days; Continue reading Feeling Calm #29

Since having L we’ve enjoyed a lot of family holidays and making new memories with him. We haven’t shied away from anything with him, boats, tents, caravans, distance. It’s all been worthwhile for the new experiences and fantastic holiday memories.
