Aldi #MamiaDaysOut Challenge

I love Aldi. I’ll make no bones about it. It’s cheap, stocks my favourite lemonade with coconut and lime in it and my second favourite bottle of Pinot. The SpecialBuys are some of my favourite things ever. Oh and the nappies and wipes are amazing.

My Aldi love story has only been added to recently. You see I have been taking part in the Aldi #MamiaDaysOut Challenge with BritMums so I was sent a very lovely hamper filled with goodies to get out and about with from the Mamia range.

Lunch at Turtle Bay Norwich

A couple of weekends back we headed to Turtle Bay in Norwich for a family meal. As I had been to the VIP opening night a few weeks back I was really excited to be returning and trying out the menu. Husb was potentially even more excited as the guys in his office had been raving about it.

More food than he could eat!! Turtle Bay

Rain and Popcorn – My Weekend

It was our wedding anniversary in July, so back in April I booked us tickets to go and see Top Gun at an outdoor cinema event at the stunning Blickling Hall.

We’d never been to an outdoor cinema before and were both really excited. It would be a lovely way for us to spend an evening together. We roped my parents in to babysit and finally after months of waiting it was time for out night out.  Continue reading Rain and Popcorn – My Weekend

5 Great Sandwich Fillings with Heinz Sauces

So a little while ago now I was sent a wonderful hamper filled to the brim with sauces from Heinz.  So I had a little think about how we use them at home and thought I’d share 5 of my favourite sandwich fillings with you.

Now there’s no two ways about it, we all know that Heinz sauces are great for dipping and dunking. Be it chips, salad, or even a cheeky crisp (crisps and mayo is lush just so you know!).  I’m not here to review them and how yummy they are. We all know that. But with the schools being back and the time for summer salads at lunch quickly passing I thought I’d share some quick and easy lunch box ideas.  Continue reading 5 Great Sandwich Fillings with Heinz Sauces

The August box was one of my favourite yet. Curry, snacks, drinks, lots of yumminess. I could have done with a little sweet something to round it off, but generally this was an ace box. Here’s what I got;  Continue reading My August Degustabox

Dipping Crackers

West Coast have initially launched three varieties of cracker which can be enjoyed as a snack, dip or accompaniment to a meal.

Lentil & Biriyani is made with Mathia flour and delicately spiced with traditional Indian flavours and works well with curry as an alternative to poppadoms. Inspired by North African cuisine, Green Bean & Ras El Hanout is made with Moong Dall Flour and Ras El Hanout spice so also makes a good accompaniment to tagines or couscous. Chickpea with Garlic is houmous-inspired made with Besan flour and is recommended to use serve with Middle Eastern dishes and dips.

Sweet Straws

Sweet Straws are a sweet-twist on traditional savoury straws, with four fruit-based flavours.

Apple & Cinnamon, a classic combination of a delicately spiced orchard fruit. Blackberry & Basil, a marriage made in berry heaven thanks to the delicate addition of basil. Raspberry & Chocolate, with a generous amount of raspberry pieces and distinct chocolate aroma. Sour Cherry & Vanilla, the sourness of the cherries perfectly complemented with sweet vanilla

Light, crunchy, buttery and hand-baked, the straws are a fantastic alternative to traditional sweet biscuits. They work equally well as an accompaniment or decoration to ice cream, yogurts or sundaes.
