Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Just in case it has escaped your notice two weeks today it will be Mother’s Day. Just in case you are looking for gift inspiration I’ve pulled together a list of gorgeous gifts suitable for any mum, even the ones like me that say they don’t want anything.

Hallmark Card Selection
Hallmark Card Selection

Let us start with the basics, the card. Anything hand-made will be well received but I also love some of the options from Hallmark this year. Classic cards with lovely sentiment, cards that turn into crowns (I will so be wearing a crown on Mother’s Day!!) or even pop up cards that turn into little country cottages, there is something for everyone and they are reasonably priced as well.

Personalised Marmite
Personalised Marmite

If cute and quirky is your thing then how about a personalised jar of Marmite? I would be particularly pleased with this as I am firmly in the love camp and the rest of the household are with hate. This means it truly is a present for me, one that took some thought and is personalised. Even better would be the breakfast in bed for it to go with. £4.99 is a great price for a fun gift.

The English Soap Company
The English Soap Company

A truly classic gift are the vintage wrapped soaps from The English Soap Company. beautifully wrapped in vintage style paper, with a Mother’s Day Message and wonderful scents it’s hard to go wrong. These look stunning and would make a wonderful addition to a gift hamper or be easily posted if you aren’t going to get to see your mum. £4.95 each and a large 200g bar, I would love one.

Demijohn Yummy Mummy Rack

For a Gin loving mum like me it’s hard to beat the Demijohn Mini Yummy Mummy Rack. The rack is handmade from poplar and contains three unique drinks in beautiful apotheker 40ml bottles. Combine the marmalady Seville Orange Gin, fruity Damson Gin and the smooth in-house Demijohnnie Gin to make your Yummy Mummy Cocktail. It’s subtle, strong and a stunning drink plus it’s only £23.35. You can even have a personalised message added for free on the bottles!

If one cocktail isn’t enough for your mum, how about a subscription? Either the Craft Gin Club or the Bubble Club are sure to be well received. Mums can enjoy gins and fizz from small producers that you won’t find anywhere else, along with new mixers, liqueurs, chocolates, snacks and other treats in a lovely surprise box which can be delivered either monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly. In celebration of Mother’s Day and International Womens’ Day, March’s Bubble Box has a ‘Women of the World’ theme, and features wines and treats from all-female producers.

Dollz Confetti

Producing limited editions weekly and custom making orders to suit your colour schemes or home decor. The mixes are mostly in the £5.99 range with some luxury at £8.99. I would a beautiful vase with them for my mum to make a lovely feature for her dining room. There are so many thing you could do, I just really like the idea.

Indigo Herbs De-Stress and Unwind
Indigo Herbs De-Stress and Unwind

I adore the De-Stress and Unwind gift box from Indigo Herbs. This kit is packed with all things relaxing and herbal to help you unwind, naturally. It includes Chamomile Tea (which I have recently discovered I love) and a cute little strawberry shaped infuser, there is also an aromatherapy blended massage oil and essential oil designed to help you de-stress. All this is lovingly boxed up into the ideal little gift for £19.99.

Jumbo Puzzles
Jumbo Puzzles

My final pick is a bit of a renewed passion. Puzzles! I only recently got back into jigsaw puzzles, but I can have one om the go at the kitchen table and dip in and out of it whilst I’m cooking, cleaning or just trying to hide out for 5 minutes. I find them really relaxing and very satisfying. Jumbo have an amazing range of puzzles including well known names like Wasgig, Falcon de luxe and Santoro Gorjuss so you will be sure to find one suit any person. A great gift that lasts.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my picks and maybe found a bit of inspiration.

The Tale of Mummyhood

Disclosure – I was sent my products to see if I liked them enough to include in my guide. I have only included things I genuinely liked and would want to receive myself.

  1. These are some lovely ideas. I think I am really easy to buy for, and to be honest I would settle for a lie in and someone to do the ironing on Mothers Day! I struggle to know what to buy for my Mum though and now I think a puzzle might be a good idea! #blogstravaganza
