My February Degustabox

Time for my monthly Degustabox feature, if you haven’t seen previous month’s posts, Degustabox is a monthly subscription box, filled with amazing new foods for you to try out. Including new lines from big brands and foods from smaller brands that you maybe weren’t aware of. For £12.99 per box you will have contents worth well in excess of that, get the chance to try something new and maybe even find a new favourite treat. I enjoy getting to try things I wouldn’t normally buy for my family.IMG_20160224_123431

The February box was fab, even more than usual, filled with lots of new things to try, some great drinks and very moorish snacks, yummy. Here’s what I got;

Hartley’s 10 Cal Jelly pots & Fruit in Jelly pots – 2 x 70p & 2 x 50p – We love Hartley’s Jelly in this house, the Fruit in Jelly pots were wolfed down by L as were the 10 Cal pots that I had been looking forward to, turns out that little boy is an unstoppable jelly fiend!

Sarsons – 70p – Sarsons Vinegar is a classic isn’t it? I hadn’t had it in the house for ages, penny pinching with a cheaper version, but the difference is noticeable and the Limited Edition ‘Fish and Chip’ bottle by Paul Thurlby is really fun.

Mr Kipling Exceedingly Good Slices – £1.49 – I was sent the ‘Fruity Cranberry & Orange’ bars, moist, oaty, full of fruit and absolutely delicious I loved these bars. I did find that if your toddler is going through a phase of not liking ‘bits’ then these are not the cake bars for you.

Beloved Dates – 2 x 59p – these cereal bars are pressed and held together with date nectar for natural sweetness. They were a bit more dry than I would like but packed with flavour and great as an on the go snack.

Nutribix – £3.79 – these are full of energy for a bit of get up and go in the morning, they are really filling and really tasty. I did find that I needed a lot of milk with them and the little one didn’t like them which means they aren’t great for a speedy morning but I really enjoyed them, especially with some blueberries thrown in.

Divine – 2 x £1.00 – It’s no secret I’m a complete chocoholic so I was always going to enjoy these Divine Caramel Bars, they are amazing, the chocolate is superb and they are full of caramel. The perfect treat. IMG_20160224_123527

VitHit – £1.80 – I had the Citrus flavour and absolutely loved it! I’ve had plenty of vitamin style drinks that I’ve liked, but this one I really, really enjoyed. So refreshing and a really tasty and easy way to get my vitamins. Spot on!

Ritz Crisp & Thin – £2.19 – Oh My Word. These are trouble! Super thin, really crispy, soooo tasty. I sat down with the whole bag one evening and was shortly left with none. Amazing.

J2O Spritz – 2 x £2.49 – These may will just be my new summer drink, with a nice bit of fizz, light and fruity, they are refreshing and way too easy to drink.

The London Crisp Company – £2.29 – These are so good, we had the Sweet Chilli Flavour which were amazing. These are the perfect sharing bag, lots of flavour, nice thick crisps, just very, very yummy.

Nari Juice – £1.99 – A drink made of Coconut Palm Sap, all natural, all good. I had the Apple & Mint flavour and I’ll be honest with you, it was weird, for me the flavour combination just did not work. Weird.

The biggest surprise for me were the Nutribix, I wasn’t expecting to like them at all, let alone truly enjoy them and get a healthy, filling start to my day.

My most disappointing item was the Nari Palm Juice, I just didn’t like it, not their fault, just a personal taste thing. But that’s what’s so great about Degustabox, you get to try these things, risk free.

The stand out item for me were the Ritz Crisp & Thin, it was actually really hard to chose this week, there were so many items I loved, so many. But the Ritz Crisp & Thin just stole it by a margin, so moorish and great on their own or with cheese and pickles. Yum.

The overall family favourite goes to Hartley’s. We all like Jelly, all of us. A great desert with very few calories. A quick snack. Great for lunch boxes. A fab all rounder really.

If you’re interested in trying Degustabox for yourself I’ve got a great reader offer for you, quote code ‘BLDEG15’ at the checkout and you’ll get a massive £6.00 off your first box! That makes it nearly half price.

You can find Degustabox at their website www.degustabox.com, on Twitter (@DegustboxUK), on Instagram (Degustabox_UK) or on Facebook.

Disclosure – I was sent my Degustabox for free in exchange for my honest review, contains affiliate links.

    1. I really love getting a box of surprises each month. Those Ritz crackers are awesome but a killer if you’re trying to be good! Xx
