L and I have been playing with a new app based on the popular Dinosaur Train TV Series from the Jim Henson company, Dinosaur Train: Paint and Match by Kuato Studios.
This is an educational app with two game options aimed at children aged 5 and under, so perfect for L who is 3 years old. You can set up how long they are allowed to play for in the app settings before it will stop and won’t start again for an hour. Continue reading Dinosaur Train: Paint & Match App Review→
It’s no secret that Denmark is famous for being the happiest nation on earth. Now hygge-mania is sweeping the UK with thirteen books on the subject hitting the best seller chart in 2016. But can hygge, the untranslatable Danish concept of cosiness and quality time together, still be applied when you have a new baby in the house? Continue reading Could Hygge Reduce The Stress Of Parenting?→
When the guys at My Name Label got in touch to see if I would like to try out some of their labels for clothing, shoes and belongings their timing couldn’t have been better.
I had actually been looking online to buy some labels for L’s things, but I didn’t really know what to go for, or if what I chose would be any good. I needed shoe labels, this is what had sparked the search, but I also wanted to be able to label things like his water bottle, toys, coats and clothes. Everything really.
With summer just around the corner, I’ve been thinking of fun activities to do around the home. Juggling life with a husband and toddler can sometimes leave play time a little stagnant and repetitive so I had a brain wave. What if I transformed our garage into a garage play-den? Dust off the barbecue, roll out the picnic rug and book the beach hut. Opies has a whole host of delicious store-cupboard essentials that really come into their own in the summer and form the basis of many delicious culinary shortcuts.
From the instant L saw his new Henry Sit n Ride in the box he was excited. A little red ride on toy with a loveable Henry Hoover face.
I had to build it straight away. I am amazed that he recognised it as a vacuum cleaner. We don’t own a Henry, to the best of my knowledge no one he knows does. There’s no hose or cleaning attachments. Just Henry’s nose, which would be where the hose attached. Yet straight away he wanted to help me clean.
As you may or may not know, next week is National Stationery Week. The guys over at Stabilo believe that stationery matters and so do I. They aren’t just making functional and practical items, it’s so much more than that.
To me stationery is a bit of an obsession. I love it. As well as needing it for everyday and mundane tasks, I need it for my own peace of mind. To find my inner calm and sanity. My stationery says so much about me and I belive that if you can have a better, more fun, prettier item then why would you not use it.
When Sarah from Love Bomb Cushions got in touch to see if I’d like to review some of their products and the free to download game app I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I love to support parents with a work from home dream like mine though, so of course I said yes.
Love Bomb Cushions is a family business manufacturing novelty Cushions and plush items. Sarah set it up whilst I was at home with her kids a couple of years ago. All in the hope that she could earn a living around them. So all very close to my heart as you can imagine. Continue reading Love Bomb Cushions & App Reveiw→
I recently received a trial pack of razors. The Dorco Eve 6 and replacement blades. I am very impressed. When I really wasn’t expecting to be.
It just so happened I was offered the Dorco Eve 6 at a point when I had really eeked all the life I could out my last razor blade cartridge at home. I’ll admit I do not change my blades regularly enough, but they are expensive, so I’ll just keep going until I literally can’t anymore. Continue reading Fabulous Dorco Eve 6 Razors→
