Feeling Calm #59

For my birthday last year I was given a great book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends. To help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday since and on Wednesday’s (or late on a Tuesday) I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites. 

So last week I mentioned I was feeling stressed due to some changes at work and feeling bogged down with blog work. Well as I wrote I thought to myself that I could completely fix it. So I did.

I got my bum out of bed ridiculously early one morning and blogged my little heart out. Bam, one problem solved.

As for work, well, I’ve done what I do best. I’ve gone in with a smile on my face and a determination that regardless of the attitude of those around me I will be positive. That, coupled with a good bitch about my day to husb and a gin when I get home, means I’m doing OK.

More amazing weather, bank holidays on the horizon and a clean house. It should all be good but a change at work has left me feeling uneasy and an ever growing pile of things to blog about is adding to my stress levels.

Hasn’t the weather been amazing?! We’ve been enjoying a lot of outdoors time and doesn’t it make a difference. Garden play is always an easy option for me, but when you don’t even have to worry about warmth and can literally just open the door and shove the child outside it’s even better.

These last 7 days have been engulfed with illness. I’m still not at my finest but everyone else seems back to normal. Thanks to a vile sickness bug L bought home from Nursery I don’t think I’ve had a full night sleep since last Wednesday!

This has been the busiest week ever. To be honest I’m glad to see the back of it. Poor L didn’t stop all last week and so this week he is a horror. Husb and I are tired and bickering. Time for some normality to return I think.

I’m back on top of things this week. I’ve got this. I’m making housework look easy, I’m on top of my blogging schedule, even getting my hours in at work and generally just rocking it at the moment.

Feeling Calm #53

This week has been a bit of a mixed bag. I’m still utterly exhausted but I seem to be getting into a bit of a rhythm and dare I say it, things are weirdly easier with husb’s longer hours.  I can just get on with things without interruption, well I have constant toddler interruption but you know what I mean. I’m starting to feel like I can get a half decent routine sorted for us.

Feeling Calm #52

Wow, we are all tired in this house at the moment. Husb’s new job is really taking it out of him. L has had a few unsettled nights, early starts and a complete refusal to nap, so he’s a delight. I simply don’t know what’s wrong with me, I feel drained and have literally been falling asleep on the sofa during the day.

There has been a lot going on recently, but honestly I shouldn’t be this tired!

After a long weekend hen party-ing I am knackered but a bit of a break has been helpful and whilst I may be very busy now I do at least feel a bit more motivated.

I’m hoping that things will calm down a bit and I can centre myself once again and fall back into a good routine.

Feeling Calm #50

My winning streak has come to an end. I have been feeling tired and stressed and struggled to find any motivation this last week. A long way from calm if I’m honest.

Things have gotten on top of me a bit and I’m desperate to get that winning feeling back. The previous few weeks I had been so organised and positive. I know exactly what has changed, well built up, but it’s hard to counteract it as it’s not something I can directly change.
