We have never been away at Christmas time before, not once. But with work being a bit stressful and all the upheaval we have gone through recently I couldn’t have been happier when Bluestone got in touch to see if we would like to stay for a few nights.
A holiday park with a difference, Bluestone is set in a beautiful National Park in Pembrokeshire, Wales. We loved Pembrokeshire last time we visited, and were familiar with the area There is loads to see and do, plenty of walking, attractions and a truly stunning coastline. We were so excited to be returning, especially as Bluestone had everything we needed, right there, there would be no additional travelling, spending or time. Just a few days to kick back and relax. Oh and Christmas was in full swing which was really exciting. All the December breaks included tickets to ‘The Kingdom of the Elves’.
So you know I love buying Christmas gifts for people, sometimes in can be tough to find the right thing though.
As I mentioned earlier, I love the idea of giving something that someone wants, something they need and then a little something to eat or drink. It keeps the gift giving under control and means the recipient gets a lovely mix of things.
Unilever and BritMums recently set a very interesting challenge. The #BrightFuture initiative is all about uniting communities and encouraging small changes in everyday life that will in turn have a positive impact on the world.
So I’m just going to say it, because it isn’t something to be embarrassed about. Around 62% of women will suffer some form of incontinence during pregnancy and around 50% will continue to have issues after childbirth. So why don’t we talk about it? The guys at Hartmann are trying to help. Continue reading A Very Common Problem→
This plus that equals…. My Favourite Norfolk Walks
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is a list of my favourite walks in Norfolk. We’re off to Lincoln for a long weekend, when husb asked what I wanted to do, I literally had no clue other than to get out for some good, long, at a decent pace, walks. It can be hard to do with a toddler sometimes.
So I’d been looking for some walking inspiration in and around Lincoln and it got me thinking of my favourite places to walk at home in sunny Norfolk, especially now we have L.
When I said to my mum I had been sent some of the Weleda Baby Range for L, her first reaction was ‘ooo that will be lovely then’ closely followed up with ‘did you get any of the adult range?’ said in a very hinty manner.
Bless her, I hadn’t been sent any of the adult range or I would have loved to have shared with her. I think Mum’s reaction says it all though. Weleda have a well earned reputation for quality products and we can see why. Continue reading Weleda Baby Range – Review→
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about what I do to stay positive. This isn’t something that comes naturally to me, but it is something I have actively been working on this year. Despite finding it difficult at times I believe it is worth while and I feel so much happier for it, so I thought I’d share my tips with you.
A couple of weeks ago we got a lovely delivery from Little Dish. A fab cool bag filled with a selection of meals from the new Pots and Pies range that launched today, as well as a tablecloth to be coloured in, all in a lovely jute bag. L was very excited.
The new Pots and Pies range is filled with simple meals, made healthily and deliciously. In little pie dishes that you can serve them in. They microwave from fresh in 2 minutes 30 seconds. They are fun, filling and tasty. So L has been trying them out.
This plus that equals…. Ways My Toddler Has Injured Me
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about the many ways in which my toddler has injured me. It’s a lot. Toddlers may be cute, but with all that bouncy energy and the coordination of a drunk hippo on ice they can be lethal.
So in under a year I am going to be a bridesmaid for my little sister. This is just the kind of goal I need to diet, focus on my weight loss and getting healthier, which all ties in nicely with my quest to be a calmer, happier and healthier person.
I have decided to vlog about my journey as that will give me a visual reminder of where I’ve been and where I am and as it’s something that makes me rather uncomfortable it will also help to keep me in check. Plus it’s always good to push yourself.
