FixMeStick – Review

You may remember earlier in the year I ran a competition giving away a FixMeStick with a one year subscription to the service. At the time I hadn’t had a moment to try mine out, but now it’s had some good use, I thought I’d share my opinions.

FixMeStick is a virus removal tool. It works differently to Anti-Virus software and provides additional protection and in some cases will be the only way to remove a virus.

Feeling Calm #55

For my birthday last year I was given a great book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends. To help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday since and on Wednesday’s (or late on a Tuesday) I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

This has been the busiest week ever. To be honest I’m glad to see the back of it. Poor L didn’t stop all last week and so this week he is a horror. Husb and I are tired and bickering. Time for some normality to return I think.

Here are my top ten moments from the last 7 days:

This Plus That Equals…. Little Smiles

This plus that equals…. little smiles

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about a few things that make me smile.

I was chatting to my husband this morning about the beautiful sunny weather and that even though it was going to be cold today, it didn’t matter. Sun just makes  things better and that got me to thinking about other little things that just make me happy and smile.

Easy Ways to Brighten Your Garden this Spring

The weather is turning and like animals coming out from hibernation I’ve noticed my neighbours out in their gardens, starting to do the jobs they’ve been putting off and I am amongst them!

This year it looks like far more of the gardening will be falling on my shoulders so I have been eager to find a few things to make my life easier.

Feeling Calm #54

For my birthday last year I was given a great book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends. To help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday since and on Wednesday’s (or late on a Tuesday) I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

I’m back on top of things this week. I’ve got this. I’m making housework look easy, I’m on top of my blogging schedule, even getting my hours in at work and generally just rocking it at the moment.

Flowers
This week’s flowers, I’ve been treating myself to a bunch just becuase

I completely do not expect this to last but I’m going to soak up the good feelings whilst I can.

This Plus That Equals…. What I Should Do With a Morning Off

This plus that equals…. what I should do with a morning off

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about a few things I think I should work on. Like Spending time on myself.

Recently I’ve been lucky enough to have a couple of child free, work free mornings. So I did all the housework, made phone calls, sorted out the shopping and generally worked until I was exhausted. I think I should have played it differently.

Being a Mum has Changed Me

I don’t know what got me thinking about it, but the last days or so I’ve really been thinking about how much I have changed since becoming a mum. Obviously parenthood is life changing, I didn’t expect it not to be. Now three years in there are days I think I’ve got this parenting thing sorted, mostly I don’t, but that’s life.

Crazy Claw from Drumond Park

We have been playing with Crazy Claw from Drumond Park recently, so I thought I would give you our verdict. Mine and L’s differ slightly on this one.

I’m going to start by pointing out this game is aimed at ages 5 and up. L is only 3. So I was always completely aware there may be parts of the gameplay he didn’t quite get and that maybe he wouldn’t be able to do it all.

Crazy Claw
I got one!!
