Since having L we’ve enjoyed a lot of family holidays and making new memories with him. We haven’t shied away from anything with him, boats, tents, caravans, distance. It’s all been worthwhile for the new experiences and fantastic holiday memories.

The Gtech AirRam K9

We’ve gone through a bit of a cleaning breakthrough here in the Any Way To Stay At Home household. With the help of a list and some fab time saving products I’m feeling pretty smug in my domesticated-ness. So over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing some of my tips with you, this week it the Gtech AirRam K9.

We now follow a weekly cleaning schedule and on that schedule is a little slot everyday for a quick vacuum. This is all very well and good if it was indeed a quick job, but by the time you’ve got it plugged in and unwound the cable, dragged the thing around the house, wound the cable back up and put it away it’s easily 25 minutes of your life gone.

Introducing WILF Books

I was recently approached by the lovely people at WILF Books, who introduced me to their concept. As you know I fully support anything that gets kids and books together, but this goes so much further than that and I loved the idea.

WILF Books are a children’s book subscription service delivering your child personalised and relevant books on a monthly basis, along with an opportunity for them to share their own unused books for other children to enjoy. Continue reading Introducing WILF Books

Benefits of Fruit Juice for Kids

SQUEEZING OUT JUICE FROM KIDS’ DIETS MAY DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD

Research shows 100% fruit juice drinkers are 42% more likely to meet their 5 A Day and it could help 4.7 million in UK towards achieving the target.

With 91% of children currently failing to meet the 5 A Day target, new analysis of data from the National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS) presented this week at the Nutrition Society Conference in Dublin indicates that 100% fruit juice drinkers are more likely to meet the 5 A Day recommendation.

Feeling Calm #27

For my birthday I was given a great new book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends to help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday and on Wednesday’s I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

After a string of amazing weeks it only seems fitting that things have gone terribly wrong. Having lost a major client I’m facing the very real possibility that I’ll have to return to work for a bit and put a pause on my Work from Home dream. Especially as my car has started making some very worrying and most likely expensive sounds. So it has been extra important to carry on with my gratitude journal. I need to stay focused. Remain calm and keep my balance.

So here are my top 10 moments from the past 7 days; Continue reading Feeling Calm #27

Win an amazing Mumpreneur course

You may have guessed from the name of my blog, Any Way To Stay At Home, I did not want to be tied to the office after the birth of my son. I don’t think of myself as a Mumpreneur, but maybe I am.

I like many mum’s wanted the freedom to be my own boss and work from home. It has not been easy. Not at all. In fact just this week things have gone wrong for me (post to follow).

Despite all the up’s and down’s, home is still where I want to be. I don’t want to have to worry about my son being ill and how I can balance caring for him and a job. I love being able to go to everything without any worries. I am in charge of my schedule. Mainly I really love just being able to maximise my time with him.

You could all have your own sunny workplace like mine

For me working from home is the way forward. But what if you want to work from home bit know what to do or how to do it?
Well here’s where I pass over to Josie from Mumpreuner Inspiration, to tell you all about herself and her new course.
