Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about those little products you find that are just amazing. Ones you start to wonder how you ever got by before them.
Last week I was asked to review Biotrue® Daily Eyelid Wipes from Bausch + Lomb, they had teamed up with TheraPearl who make the Eye-ssential Mask for the ultimate in eye care treats. Well I’ve been using the Eye-ssential Mask for a good couple of years now and that got me to thinking about all those little products I’ve found through blogging that I now use all the time.
Thinking about something to buy for your loved one this Valentine’s Day. I’ve got some ideas for you that might help inspire you.
How about a personalised print from Hello Moon? They have a number of beautiful options for couples or if you want to include the whole family, because Valentine’s Day is about all kinds of love in my books, you could get an amazing Wellington Boot Poster for families of three or four. I fell in love with this option so much I got one for myself!!
Just before Christmas I was contacted by the wonderful people at Crafter’s Companion, a leading papercraft company who create and sell some amazing products that get us crafty types all excited. They wanted to know if I would like to review the recently launched Colorista Range from Spectrum Noir.
I love colouring in, it’s something that is quite easy to fit in around everything else and something I can even do with L. I can set him up with his own colouring book and crayons whilst I enjoy my own. So of course I said yes. Continue reading The Spectrum Noir Colorista Range→
I first ran this review back in November 2015, but as I am still using the Iris every single day and we have since added the Active 250 to our collection, I felt it was time to refresh it a little. Before I get into the joys of the Iris 500 I thought I’d share a little project Lumie are working on with Leeds University. Continue reading Lumie Iris 500 Bodyclock→
Don’t be put off the small size of The Adventure Suit. It is the biggest amount of fun you can find it such a small space.
The Adventure Suit is the first mini interactive book from augmented reality company Zappar. It’s a great way to combine reading with technology and game play. It could help get kids more excited about reading or just provide a new way to play.
Time for my monthly Degustabox feature, if you haven’t seen previous month’s posts, Degustabox is a monthly subscription box, filled with amazing new foods for you to try out. Including new lines from big brands and foods from smaller brands that you maybe weren’t aware of. For £12.99 per box you will have contents worth well in excess of that, so get the chance to try something new and maybe even find a new favourite treat.
It is fair to say that being a JCB Kids Brand Ambassador has made L’s year, a ready supply of digger and tractor themed goodies delivered to his door to test out has been no hardship for him.
This month the delivery couldn’t have been better timed, it was waiting for us the day we got home from Bluestone. We had just had a lovely break but L had been really unwell on the last day and we had just driven home, in one day, so L had been in the car all day. Tired, bored and poorly it wasn’t a pretty combination, so seeing a lovely JCB parcel when we got in really changed our evening He perked up straight away, playing happily whilst we unloaded and got ourselves a bit organised.
We have never been away at Christmas time before, not once. But with work being a bit stressful and all the upheaval we have gone through recently I couldn’t have been happier when Bluestone got in touch to see if we would like to stay for a few nights.
A holiday park with a difference, Bluestone is set in a beautiful National Park in Pembrokeshire, Wales. We loved Pembrokeshire last time we visited, and were familiar with the area There is loads to see and do, plenty of walking, attractions and a truly stunning coastline. We were so excited to be returning, especially as Bluestone had everything we needed, right there, there would be no additional travelling, spending or time. Just a few days to kick back and relax. Oh and Christmas was in full swing which was really exciting. All the December breaks included tickets to ‘The Kingdom of the Elves’.
