Feeling Calm #59

For my birthday last year I was given a great book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends. To help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday since and on Wednesday’s (or late on a Tuesday) I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

So last week I mentioned I was feeling stressed due to some changes at work and feeling bogged down with blog work. Well as I wrote I thought to myself that I could completely fix it. So I did.

I got my bum out of bed ridiculously early one morning and blogged my little heart out. Bam, one problem solved.

As for work, well, I’ve done what I do best. I’ve gone in with a smile on my face and a determination that regardless of the attitude of those around me I will be positive. That, coupled with a good bitch about my day to husb and a gin when I get home, means I’m doing OK.

So here are my top ten moments from the last 7 days, they’ve been good:

This Plus That Equals…. Our Favourite Norfolk Day Trips

This plus that equals…. our favourite Norfolk day trips

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about our favourite Norfolk day trips (sometimes spilling into Suffolk). Those trips we make again and again.

In Norfolk we’re lucky to be surrounded by stunning coast, fab tourist attractions and activities that are fab whatever the weather. We have a few trusty fall backs though, so here they are.

James’ Thoughts on Canagan Cat Food

I love getting to review new and different products on my blog, I’ve found some really amazing things. I also love that we get to spoil L with new toys and amazing experiences. Often forgotten though is the 4th member of our little family, James the Cat. So he was very happy when we got sent some Canagan Cat Food for him to try.

A Constant Battle – Toys vs Batteries

I cannot be the only person who feels this way, but kids toys now need a ridiculous amount of batteries. It’s not one or two. It’s three, or four, or even more. So I asked Varta if they could help. I’ve worked with them before using the amazing power packs they make, so I figured Varta Rechargeable Batteries would be perfect.

This all started when I bought L a toy at Christmas that flagged up a warning before I completed the purchase. I was warned that this toy required 4 AA Batteries and 4 AAA Batteries. Yes one toy needed 8 batteries.

A Review of the Lumie Luxe 700 Bodyclock

As you know we are big fans of Lumie here. I have been using the Bodyclock Iris for quite some time and husb has been using the Active 250 for longer. When we found out about the new Lumie Luxe 700 we couldn’t wait to try it out.

Now in quick terms the Luxe does everything all the other bodyclocks does but without the aromatherapy function of the Iris but improving the music function of the Active 250 by adding Bluetooth Speakers, not just a Radio.

FixMeStick – Review

You may remember earlier in the year I ran a competition giving away a FixMeStick with a one year subscription to the service. At the time I hadn’t had a moment to try mine out, but now it’s had some good use, I thought I’d share my opinions.

FixMeStick is a virus removal tool. It works differently to Anti-Virus software and provides additional protection and in some cases will be the only way to remove a virus.

Easy Ways to Brighten Your Garden this Spring

The weather is turning and like animals coming out from hibernation I’ve noticed my neighbours out in their gardens, starting to do the jobs they’ve been putting off and I am amongst them!

This year it looks like far more of the gardening will be falling on my shoulders so I have been eager to find a few things to make my life easier.

A tree I wanted to make a feature of
