This plus that equals…. September plans
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about my plans for the coming month.
Last year husb and I excitedly trotted off in the most horrific weather to watch Top Gun at Blickling Hall. I had never been to an outdoor cinema before, we had a baby sitter for the night, I love Blickling Hall and don’t mind Top Gun. No amount of weather was going to stop us. A slowly deflating screen due to a power cut, that however, that would stop us.
The guys at Quad Derby who organised the night heard of my plight and have so kindly invited us back this year to watch Ghost. Again at the beautiful Blickling Hall. I’ve got my fingers crossed for better weather, but mostly I just don’t want any power cuts!
Oh my word I am so excited for this. I love crafting and getting to go away for the weekend to soak up all the crafty goodness I can manage at Hampton Court Palace will be wonderful.
I’m taking mum as her birthday present and she’s really excited too. Though I’m not sure if she is more excited about the fair, which she has always wanted to go to, or the fact that she’ll get a press pass as my guest. Bless her.
So as I mentioned above it is my dear Mother’s Birthday. It’s a big one. One she’ll probably appreciate me not mentioning on my blog.
She’s booked a big house on the broads, big enough for all of us. So we’ll be there with L, my sister, aunt and grandparents. Right by the waters edge and treating mum to all sorts of games, good food and trips out. She is going to have a blast. Just some decorations to sort out and then we are done.
Sob! L is now going to nursery for an extra morning each week. One the plus side I will be getting a little bit of extra time to myself. I can blog, catch up on housework, I may even be able to have a long hot bath, all by myself. He will get to see his friends more and hopefully it will help when he starts school next year.
I just can’t get over the fact that I will be having less time with him. It seems to be going too fast and I want to soak up every single second of him. Am literally going to have to stop writing this now so I can go and cry in the corner a bit more.
Something Just For Me
I’m not sure what yet but I really want to something this month that is just for me. Whether I book a day off work and just sit and read or craft. If I treat myself to a new phone, I really want a new phone. Or if I just make the most of my newly found Monday mornings.
Like I say, I don’t know what yet. But this month I am going to do something that is just for me.
Finally, I’m linking up with #TwinklyTuesday, #Blogstravaganza, #StayClassyMama and #fortheloveofBLOG
