A Personalised Print from Hello Moon

How about a personalised print from Hello Moon? They have a number of beautiful options for couples or if you want to include the whole family, because Valentine’s Day is about all kinds of love in my books, you could get an amazing Wellington Boot Poster for families of three or four. I fell in love with this option so much I got one for myself!!

Whilst I’m talking about family, I do think it’s nice to get the kids involved and L has been busy making some lovely cards for everyone. We’ve been using a great 36 piece set from BIC that contains crayons, pencils and pens all in one handy fold out wallet. It doesn’t have to be anything amazing, just hand-made and from the heart. I’ve been letting L go crazy scribbling away, then using a heart paper punch to make lots of mini scribbled colour hearts that he has glued onto cards. Simple.

Stabilo Woody 3in1

Another fun way to get kids involved with Valentine’s Day is with the Stabilo Woody 3-in-1. A chunky set of multi-talented pencils, that can write on pretty much anything; encompassing a coloured pencil, wax crayon and water-colour all in one. They can write on glass, leather, metal etc and be rubbed off easily, leaving no marks. Honestly, a quick baby wipe and it’s gone. For Valentine’s, how about writing a cute messages on the morning coffee mug or breakfast plate, just something quick and silly but an adorable way to leave a love note.

Rock and Ruddle

A hairbrush might not seem like the most romantic treat, granted. When it is the prettiest most joyful to use hairbrush ever, then things start to get a bit different. I’ve been using Rock & Ruddle Brushes for a while now and can safely say if I were to given another for Valentine’s Day would be ecstatic. Rock & Ruddle’s quality boar bristles are strong and resilient. They have a natural stiffness that means that they brush the hair thoroughly and yet don’t pull as they are drawn through it. It’s like a mini scalp massage with every use.

Philip Kingsley

You could take the hair care treats to a new level with some amazing Philip Kingsley products. Not only is the packaging beautiful but the scents are to die for. The Geranium & Neroli Elasticizer pre-shampoo conditioning treatment is infused with 100% natural neroli, geranium, lavender, rose and orange oils. Mmmm. Then there is my personal favourite, the Elderflower & Rhubarb Elasticizer combines fruity notes of rhubarb and apple with the delicate white floral of elderflower, jasmine and gardenia. Elasticizer adds elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine to all hair types.

Lypsyl

If you are looking for a little surprise gift or add-on then I would consider Lypsyl, especially if there is any kissing to be considered! Soft, smooth and delicately scented thanks to a new improved formula, I have them on my coat pocket, my handbag, my work jacket. Easy to use and incredibly effective, I use them all the time. Try uplifting Strawberry and Pomegranate stick or revitalising Cherry & Almond. Both deliver a dose of softly scented hydration in Valentine’s Day Red Packaging.

Nelsons Arnicare

How about Nelson’s Arnicare Bath & Massage Balm, it’s a luxurious dual-purpose balm, it’s perfect for a romantic massage or pouring into a bath to create a gorgeous fragrance that will help you to relax and unwind after a busy day. The natural properties of Arnica montana extract and sweet scents of Lavender and Grapefruit essential oils are ideal for calming senses and melting away tension. It’s also enriched with Evening Primrose and Sweet Almond oil making it the perfect pampering treat.

Walkers Shortbread

For a sweet treat that everyone will love start thinking shortbread, Walkers Shortbread to be precise. The I Love You Tin is a personalised and touching gift for a loved one this Valentine’s Day. Filled with delicious Walkers Shortbread pure butter miniature shortbread shapes encased in a gold keepsake tin, it is sure to make that special someone smile. They are mini mouthfuls of rich, crumbly buttery goodness. The tin won’t last long, I can guarantee that.

Zippo

For a simple gift that will last how about a truly iconic Zippo lighter, with a sweetheart in the corner. Simple, stylish, useful and with a lifetime guarantee you’ll never have to worry. I have used Zippo’s for a long time now and I do not smoke. I do however light candles, enjoy the odd barbecue in the summer and aspire to having an open fire, something I really miss in our current home. They are great for camping too. There is something very satisfying about using a Zippo. The weight and feel of it in your hand. The sound it makes when it lights. Plus they look beautiful.

Meantime Brewing Company have some great beer options for Valentine’s. The Raspberry Wheat Beer is light and fresh. Slightly hoppy and very fruity. Yakima Red looks amazing with its bold red and black label design immediately striking you. It’s almost red in colour too. The addition of five varieties of US hop from the Yakima Valley in Washington State imparts spectacular fruit and citrus flavours with a restrained bitterness.

One of the best things I have come across is the Lékué Choco Fondue. A Fondue Set with a difference it allows you to prepare a fondue without fuel or fire, avoiding potential accidents and keeping the chocolate warm for over an hour. No recipes needed here. Just so simple and stylish. Best of all I got to find out about Lékué themselves, a new brand to me. They are an innovative Spanish cookware brand from Barcelona who offers a wide range of kitchen products and gadgets. Definitely check out the website, you’ll fall in love with the products.

Rose Range from Urtekram
Rose Range from Urtekram

My final pick is the gorgeous organic rose-scented body care range from Urtekram. The Urtekram body care products are all organic, have this understated yet amazing packaging that looks great in any bathroom and they smell divine. Urtekram, which means ‘herbalism’ in Danish has created a range of effective organic body care preparations in a variety of scents which enable you to naturally care for your body, from the outside in.  There are 11 products in the UK Rose range, each infused with the truly romantic scent of a thousand red roses. I’ve been a fan of the range for years now and I can’t sing its praises enough.

Disclosure – I was sent samples of many products to see if I would like to recommend them. I have only included products I genuinely love and would buy myself.
