I love the Autumn. I love the cold, crisp days. The sunshine, the crispy leaves, Halloween and Bonfire night. Autumn is my favourite season. The best season.
As soon as the weather turns, the chunky knits are unpacked. Hats, scarves and gloves, my squishy and warm coat. I always love the swap from between my Summer and Winter wardrobes.
Strangely my Winter clothes are probably more colourful than my summer ones. Brights yellows and golds. Warm purples and reds. It just seems more important to have lots of happy colours around me when the sun isn’t shining for so long or so brightly.
ACE sent me two boxes of their ACE for Colours Powder. Simply spoon some into your normal wash and watch as the colours brighten and any stains disappear.
I vacuum pack my clothes each season so it’s not technically needed to wash them when I unpack them, that being said I like to give them a quick 30 degree cycle. It helps get rid of any creases and ensures that everything looks as good as it can, all fresh smelling and vibrant.
I also like to give my cushion covers a little wash with ACE for Colours Powder as well. They are a lovely yellow that goes so well with our newly decorated room, but having a child in the house, and a husband come to that, means they get grubby. Chocolatey hands, spilt drinks, being thrown about on the floor and used to avoid lava. A scoop of the powder brings them up look as fresh as the day I bought them.
ACE is simple to use and it comes in a plastic-free fully recyclable carton, no plastic scoop shere, we all have our own spoons at home, so they have just said how many spoonfuls to add to the load on the side of the box. I obviously love the plastic free element, I wish more companies would look at their packaging, but the other benefit of it coming in a small square box is that it is easily stored in the cupboard and you can stack them up so neatly. It’s an odd thing but it gives me pleasure.
