I have been lucky to try a few new skincare products recently, one of which is Alteya Organic Bulgarian Lavender Water. A simple product made of lavender and water that I have been absolutely loving. It’s a brilliant summer product as not only does it do wonders for your skin, it’s cooling and refreshing too.
The fragrant lavender mist helps restore skin’s moisture levels and calms the complexion. It is known to soothe irritation and redness, promoting a well-rested and healthy-looking skin. It is especially beneficial for dull combination skin, it is a useful weapon against imperfections.
You can use it as part f your skincare routine after cleansing, either apply with a cotton ball or close your eyes and spritz. You can also use it throughout the day just to give your skin a little hydrating boost.
I have been using it a lot. A little wake me up spray in the morning. A spray to fix that ‘I’ve got too hot in the garden and my skin now hates me’ situation. Just as little boost, both for my skin and for my mind during the day, the calming scent can be really useful. It’s also great for when I’ve forgotten, or simply can’t be bothered, to moisturise, a quick spray and I’m ready to go. It practically lives by my side. So easy to use and so nice to use, it’s a dream product.
Lavender has always been a favourite scent of mine, so I was always going to love this. It’s one of those plants that can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned. I have to admit though, I was surprised at how effective it was at reducing the redness in my cheeks. I’ve always leaned a bit towards the strawberry side of things when it comes to my cheeks and my forehead, especially when it’s either really hot or really cold. Having had both extremes of weather recently this has really helped calm my skin and remove that redness.
Alteya’s 100% pure, vegan, steam distilled lavender water is made of fresh, organic lavender blossoms – one of the most valuable and widely used essential oil-bearing plants. It smells divine and is so gentle. Gentle enough that I happily let my son have a little spray every now and then, he does get affected by the heat and you can practically see this calming his skin down. I’ll be honest it’s too nice for me to use much on him though!
The bottle lasts really well, I’ve been liberal with my use of it and I’ve still got over half a bottle left. It’s a nice fine spray, a mist if you will, so a little goes a long way. It’s been a great addition to my skincare routine and the perfect top up of moisture throughout the day.
Priced at £11.55 and available from WWW.LOVELULA.COM this is now one of my summer essentials.
