We’re big fans of So Slime DIY here. It’s quick, easy, mess free and a lot of fun. So what is the perfect thing to do on a rainy day during the summer holidays? A day where we just want to chill at home? Make Slime, that’s what! So Slime DIY Slimelicious to be precise.
The new Slimelicious range are the most fun slimes yet. We’ve got the original So Slime DIY Slime Creation Station and we’ve used the colour changing slimes as well. It’s fair to say we are very familiar with the range. It’s a simple idea, take the slime powder, add water to the fill line and shake. Stir in glitter and maybe add a surprise toy and you are away.
So Slime DIY Slimelicious takes things to a new level. For starters these slimes are scented, deliciously so. We got a box with Grape Soda, Popcorn and Strawberry Ice Cream scents, they are yummy and the scents last and last.
What I really like is that they haven’t stopped there. These are really well thought out. It starts with the shakers which are designed to go with the scent, in our case a grape soda can, cinema box of popcorn and a cone of strawberry ice cream. They look great and it’s a fun way to store your slime. Just make sure the lids are on really well before you start shaking to mix your slime! Found that out the hard way.
Obviously the colour of the slime matches it’s chosen scent but what I really loved was the decorations have been picked to match the scent too and they make it so much fun and way less stress than glitter. There are tiny mini strawberry sequins for the strawberry ice cream, super cute. The popcorn has little foam beads which give it a fun texture, I really like this one, it’s a bit foamy and crackly and gives the slime a bit of an edge. The grape soda has clear plastic beads to mimic the bubbles, these do fall out of the foam but are big enough to not get lost or make a mess.
I really like that these slimes have hit so many different sensory levels, with the different textures, the different scents and the different looks they are brilliant. I’m really impressed.
A pack of three like ours is £9.99 which is really good value. You can also buy them singularly for £4.99, grab the maker Station for £19.99 or a case full of fun for £14.99. Trust me, with the rain pouring down as I write this, it will be money well spent!
