Craft Gin Club

April’s Craft Gin Club

A parcel with a bottle of gin and fancy snacks to match, plus a magazine all about gin. There’s not much going against Craft Gin Club really.

My Craft Gin Club Delivery

From the moment I got my email to let me know it was on its way I was quite excited. When Alex, my postman, arrived with the box I squealed. He laughed at me.

April’s Gin of the month is Kongsgaard Raw Gin and it is amazing. A warm and spicy gin with amazing flavour. It is to be savoured and enjoyed, I was blown away. Plus by reading all about it the magazine I could pretend like I’m Gin Genius (Ginius??) I aspire to be. I’m not going to bother though, mainly because anyone who reads my blog regularly, or those who know me, would call me out. I reckon I can learn though.

My only concern about Craft Gin Club was the £40 price tag. It’s a lot of money and more than a little treat. It is nice to know you can choose how often to have your deliveries, it doesn’t have to be monthly. You could opt for once every three months or every other month, which all of a sudden makes it more affordable although I know I would suffer from gin envy. Gin envy is a real thing, it can be hard.

Mmmm G&T

Then of course there was the actual value of the gin and the rest of the box.

Now as far as I can tell you can’t actually buy Kongsgaard Gin yet, it is too new. But I would guess at it retailing at £35 all by itself. The last bottle of fancy gin I treated myself too, Silent Pool, retails at around £35.00 so I think that’s a fair guess. Then there was a nice little can of Folkington’s Indian Tonic water, a bag of Cheggs (chocolate eggs, all ready for Easter), a scrummy box of Annas Ginger Thins and Hoogly Tea that I’m enjoying as I type. Plus P&P is included as well. So you definitely get your money’s worth.

I actually feel the box offers good value for money and is a gerat way to discover new gins. So I think I’m going to have to suffer from gin envy and subscribe to a quarterly box. It’s going to be a great way for me to learn more about my favourite tipple and get to try gin’s I probably wouldn’t get to drink normally.

Disclosure – I received my box in return for an honest review.

  1. Hi Briony,

Thank you very much for your review. It’s great to hear that you are enjoying your Craft Gin Club box! You are correct to say that Kongsgaard is not yet on sale in the UK. It should be on sale in the coming months at Harvey Nichols where it’s due to be retailing at £45+. Our boxes always have £45-£50 of retail value in them so they’re great value and include great gin!

Have a lovely day and enjoy a G&T tonight!

    All the best,

    1. I loved my April box, the Kongsgaard was a great find, can’t wait until it’s available to buy. It’s worth everyone of those £45, yummy! I’m enjoying a G&T right now, be thankful I was only drinking tea when I wrote this review up 🙂
