AromaSpray – Review

For as long as I can remember I have appreciated the benefits of aromatherapy and the many uses of different essential oils. I have a lovely collection of different oils that I can use for so many things. When Aromaspray got in touch to see if I would like to review some of their room sprays, made using 100% pure and natural essential oils I was very excited.

They kindly sent me four sprays from their extensive range. Tea Tree & Ravintsara, Thyme & Cinnamon, Lavender & Rosemary and their delightful Pillow Mist.

I have to say I have been very pleased with all of them. Starting with the simple things like packaging, it’s simple, pleasing to the eye and has all the information you need on it. The mist sprays well and is very fine, filled with scent that lasts well. You get plenty in each bottle as well, it will last me for ages.

I love that you don’t need a diffuser or any other kind of device to use these sprays, much like a standard air freshener in it’s simplicity but with none of the chemicals. Plus you don’t need to use half as much, I’ve found literally three sprays, up into the air, fills an entire room and as you don’t need as much, the spray is so fine and far better quality than most other sprays you don’t get any of that dampness.

As for the sprays I have tried, I love each of them and have found the perfect uses for each of them within my home.

The Pillow Mist is a straight forward use, on my pillows and around the beds of an evening. It’s made using Roman Chamomile and Neroli oils to aid a natural and good night’s sleep, with Geranium, Lavender, Lemongrass, Mandarin, Marjoram, Sweet Orange and Ylang Ylang as well. It has a lovely scent and I have certainly found it to be helpful. I also use it in L’s room to help him drift off in the evenings.

The Tea Tree & Ravintsara spray has been one of my favourites actually, with that lovely clean, crisp and slightly medicinal scent of the Tea Tree coupled with the addition of mint and a few other oils I have found this to be great in the kitchen and bathroom. It leaves them smelling fresh and clean, which I love, but I also know the antiseptic properties of the tea tree are great to use in those areas. Plus it will help to keep the us all safe from winter bugs!

The Thyme & Cinnamon is literally Christmas in a bottle. I adore it. I have been using it al lot recently, ’tis the season and all that. So if you ever come to visit as soon as you step into our hallway you will be greeted by the warm, comforting and oh so festive scent of cinnamon. It hasn’t been developed for it’s festive properties however. Thyme has brilliant medical uses, including helping prevent infection and cinnamon is a good anti-fungal oil. So by making my house smell festive, I’m doing a pretty good job of keeping us healthy too.

The Lavender & Rosemary does primarily smell of lavender and as such is very well suited for use in bedrooms to aid sleep, however, I have the Pillow Mist for that. As well being well known for aiding relaxation and calming nerves lavender is also a mild antiseptic and rosemary is great for a little burst of energy. So I like to spray our towels with it after I’ve washed them and before popping them away in the airing cupboard, it has meant they still smell clean and fresh whenever I then bring them out to use. Perfect for after a bath or shower and getting ready for the day.

I have been very impressed with sprays I have tried. The quality is superb and the smell is divine. £11.99 a bottle may initially seem like quite a lot but many people would happily spend that on a good candle or reed diffuser, which wouldn’t last anywhere near as long, be as useful or give you so many ways to use it.

Disclosure – I was gifted my Aromaspray collection in return for an honest review. All thoughts, opinions and images are my own.
