Something to “Sprout” about

An exciting new range of cakes from Everfresh Natural Foods really is something to shout about. Not only are the cakes created using a minimal number of high quality organic and natural ingredients, there are no preservatives*, stabilisers or flavourings in sight. These new cakes have been specially created with those on plant based diets in mind and incorporate the goodness of sprouted grains as well as using no added sugar, dairy or egg products.

KooPower Garden Solar Lights

I love our garden and now it’s summer I love nothing more than sitting out in the evenings and making the most of it. An easy way to create a lovely atmosphere is by adding some lighting to your garden. Solar lighting is the easiest way to do that and I have been sent some fabulous KooPower Solar Lights that I am just obsessed with.

Feeling Calm #164

For my birthday a couple of years ago I was given a great book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends. To help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday since and on Wednesday’s (or late on a Tuesday) I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

I’ve had an interesting week, busy and fabulous and awful, so many emotions buzzing round my little head at the moment. But as ever I’m focusing on the positive as quite frankly it’s my only option, the negative will pull me down too deep at the moment.

Here are my top ten moments from the last week:

This Plus That Equals…. Cheering Myself Up

This plus that equals…. cheering myself up

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about the little things I do to cheer myself up.

I’ve been a little overwhelmed of late, spreading myself too thinly, taking on too much. The school holidays are looming, L hasn’t been sleeping well, I am stressed, husb is stressed and it’s taken its toll. So I thought I’d share the little everyday things that have been cheering me up.

How to Deal with Festive Birthdays

My darling and gorgeous little niece was born just before Christmas and as I have a birthday not long after Christmas I am aware of the many downfalls of festive birthdays.

The ‘joint’ presents which when you are young and to be fair even as an adult often just feels like you’re a burden so you miss out in comparison to your summer born family and friends.

Colour Changing Slime

Like most kids L loves Slime, it’s squishy, oozy and makes gross sounds when you push it back into a tub! What’s not to love? We’ve got a great set at home from So Slime DIY to easily make slime ourselves and it’s a quick and easy activity to while away a bit of time. When we found they not made slime that changes colour we were super excited to try it.

Feeling Calm #163

For my birthday a couple of years ago I was given a great book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends. To help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday since and on Wednesday’s (or late on a Tuesday) I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

So I took an impromptu week off blogging last week. The building work had started and I had a million plans, so I chose to step back and decide to prioritise myself a bit. That being said I’ve now got LOADS to catch up on.!!

Here are my top ten moments from the last two weeks:
