As you all know we love BRIO in this house. L has an amazing BRIO collection that he uses with his railway set and also just in general small world play. They get used a lot, so we were really happy to be able to review the BRIO Train Garage.
The BRIO Train Garage is a fab addition to an existing railway set to add to your larger BRIO world. It is fun, adds a different element of play and is superbly made.
The Train Garage fits directly onto the train track, it’s built onto a straight segment of track, with connectors at either end. Much like a tunnel actually. It is very nicely decorated on the outside, packed with detail.
The most fun part, however, is the garage door. It actually slides over to cover one side or the other. So when it’s closed at the back, it’s open at the front and when you turn the dial it slides over to reverse the situation. L loves it!
The classic wooden style of BRIO that we all know and love has been kept with this piece, it’s nearly all wood, the only plastic being the roof, roller door and the dial to open it. Otherwise it’s classic, solid, wood. Beautifully painted and able to stand up to my son’s rather rough play.
I just know this is going to last us for years and years and I think the build quality alone warrants the investment, but it’s the little things that set it apart too. The design, the fun, the ease of use. I can’t fault it. L has already been playing with his train set for a few years and I haven’t seen the enthusiasm drop at all, it is just growing with us.
The BRIO Train Garage retails at £19.99 and is suitable for ages 3+.
