The count down to the Easter Holidays is well and truly on, add to that my annual holiday review at work and that means one thing and one thing only, that I am spiralling when it comes to trying to work out how I can make my limited amount of annual leave cover all the school breaks. Hurrah for Barracudas Activity Day Camps.
Welcome to Barracudas
Last year we snet L and his best friend to try out Barracudas Activity Day Camps for a few days over the Easter Break and they loved it so much they went agan over the summer holidays. This year we’re going back and to be fair the choice was both easy and obvious.
Well that’s one week of the final half term of school done and dusted, only five weeks of school left. If you’re a working parent like me you’ll already be planning for the long six week break of summer.
I’m ridiculously lucky at my work and have been able to book most of the break off as annual leave. I’ve had to rope the inlaws in for a few days and obviously my husband can take time off as well. However, despite that I’ve still had one week left to cover and only having one week makes me one of the lucky ones! Most of my friends are at their wits end trying to make it all work.
L spent the first two days of his Easter Break at Barracudas Day Activity Camp in Norwich with his best mate. I was so happy to get to work with them this year, and despite being super organised about it, I would be lying if I said I had no concerns. Well now he has been and I am delighted, truly delighted. So I thought I’d share a little bit about our experience.
It’s not long until L and his friend get to check out the fun packed activities on offer at Barracudas Day Activity Camps. I’m so happy to be sending him and couldn’t be more excited to get to work with such a fun loving, child focused company.
We’ve never been before so I am obviously a bit nervous. What to bring, what to do, what to expect? It’s all new to me. So I’ve created a checklist of things to do before we go and I thought other parents in the same boat may find it useful.
Towards the end of last year I signed up to join Team Mum, it is a fantastic cause to help support mums. Mums who don’t have anywhere near the support they deserve. The campaign officially launched 1st February and every now and then I will be sharing some of the mum’s stories.
So we’re half way through the February Half Term and if you are anything like me managing a week off work is doable but the thought of the two week Easter Break and the Summer holidays on top of a job is worrisome to say the least.
This year I’m working as a Brand Ambassador for Barracudas and I couldn’t be happier to share it with you all.
Well that’s it, summer is nearly over. I can’t believe it has flown by so fast and I really cannot believe that this time next week we will be sitting down in L’s school to have a final chat with his teacher before he starts! We’ve had a great time as Super Wings Brand Ambassadors and since our last update completed all of the #SuperSummerMissions.
So we are halfway through the summer and I thought it would be nice as Super Wings Brand Ambassadors to give you guys a little update about how we are getting on with our #SuperSummerMissions.
