Children have been learning via screens for weeks, and families are eager to take a break and have some screen-free fun this half term break! Norfolk-based leading educational toys company Learning Resources® started the Festival of Fun on Monday, 15th February and it runs until Sunday, 21st February.
I’m a bit late to the game, having been avoiding screens myself, however the week-long event is a celebration of hands-on play and parents will find lots of ways to keep children busy and enjoying screen-free fun at home. Each day, Learning Resources will be sharing new activities families can easily do, and there will be lots of educational toys and games prizes up for grabs. So please pop on over and have a look.
There is one thing always guaranteed to bring a smile to my son’s face and that’s a giraffe. It’s hard to explain how excited he was to get his new Safari Bedding set from Bloomsbury Mill.
We’ve struggled quite a bit around bedtime with him during this latest lockdown. He’s just not sleeping well at all and doesn’t want to be away from us, even if it’s only one room away.
Power boost your fitness with a membership to the new mindful app called Feel Amazing by hypnotherapist Ailsa Frank, so you can sleep well, motivate yourself, achieve more and break habits.

When it comes to Christmas there is really only the one plant that comes to mind, the beautiful, deep red, star shaped Poinsettia. I love this classic plant and it’s wonderful leaves and often have them in the house over December. What I didn’t realise is that they actually come in huge variety of colours. This fabulous news means that whatever your chosen festive scheme you can find the Poinsettia for you.
Stars for Europe are the leading group of Poinsettia growers and have some wonderful information on keeping your blooms looking at their best.
Christmas is coming to the Norwich Theatre Royal with three fabulous shows and I’ve got tickets to one of them to giveaway. The three shows will alternate and play in repertoire starting from Wednesday 16th to Thursday 24th December and they are – Panto in a Pickle!, A Circus Carol and She Go Does It Under the Christmas Tree…with Friends.
Last weekend we got sent a fab box of crafting goodies from The Creation Station so we could get creative and make some things based around some amazing Tiny Pop shows like My Little Pony, Super Grover 2.0 and Cookie’s Crumby Pictures. We had a blast making everything and better still thanks to Tiny Pop’s latest idea, Show and Tell, we’ve been able to share our creations with them for an opportunity for them to be featured on air and maybe even win a prize!
I have partnered with Raw Naturals, the new skin care, body care and beard care range arriving in the UK from Sweden, to give away one set of their RAW NATURALS GROOMING COLLECTION.
This grooming range, is now available exclusively in Superdrug, is manufactured in Sweden in the Raw Naturals brewing facilities in Falun and the philosophy is simple: logical skin care and no ‘fuzz’. The Swedish logic is that if a grooming product can perform well in the harsh Scandinavian climate, it’s more than fit for purpose in Blighty! All Raw Naturals products are tested in weather conditions that your skin hates – demonstrating that what works in Sweden, works anywhere. Indeed, Raw Naturals is the brainchild of 3 Alpine skiers from Sweden who sought to find a moisturiser that only needed to be applied once a day whilst out on the cold, windswept slopes.
