I love a jumper. It’s the best bit about the cold weather but I often struggle with finding a nice warm jumper that I can wear comfortably under a coat. Something warm yet thin, soft and definitely not scratchy. If it looks good that’s also a bonus!
Recently the guys at Lands’ End asked if I’d like to try one of their cashmere jumpers out, it was an easy decision to say yes but a lot harder to actually choose which one I wanted to go for, they are all so nice. Classic designs that are perfect for me and a stunning choice of colours and patterns.
With all the festivities that have been occuring in the house I thought it was time to sort the husband out with a little something to review. Despite the dark, cold and wet conditions that have come with the changing seasons he still loves to go for a run in the morning but it can be a struggle to find a decent sports sock for him. So he’s been trying out the Avoalre Athletic Socks.
I think I may have mentioned it before, but incase I haven’t, I love walking. It is one of my favourite things to do and I get really antsy if I haven’t made it out for a good few miles. When we were out the other day I really noticed the change in temperature, as did my husband. It’s getting chilly now and it’s almost time to get the gloves out, but he doesn’t have any at the moment. We knew where to turn though, Trendhim have a fabulous selection and he found exactly what he wanted with ease.
The time has come to start thinking about my husband’s return to the office. It’s weird writing this, it feels like a back to school thing but the kid has been in and out of school like a yo-yo, whereas my husband has been into his office three or four times in the last 12 months. He’s now starting to get prepared for a more permanent switch back to the office in the next few months and it feels like we really need to get prepared for it. Thankfully Trendhim have been here to help.
The sunglasses are perfect and the bag makes me a bit jealous
Let’s talk school shoes. A constant expense. If it’s not our children constantly growing, it’s the shoes themselves wearing out. The shoes I bought L at the start of the school year didn’t even make it to half term, we’re on our second pair already! So when Treads got in touch to see if I’d like to review a pair of their school shoes, complete with a one year guarantee, I was very intrigued.
We recently had a lovely delivery of socks from the Sock Shop and I have been impressed.
I have a bit of a weakness for socks, I’m always buying new ones. I love a fluffy sock, long socks, funny socks. So I’m always happy to get socks. Husb is starting a new job and goes through socks at a rate of knots so it was handy to get some for him. Mainly though I wanted to see if we could find anything for the child, socks are an ongoing and incredibly irritating battle. He is determined he cannot put them on by himself and is painfully fussy about what can be on them.
Baabuk make beautiful wool slippers, boots and sneakers that not only look great but are functional too. I have been sent a pair of their Yves slippers and I am so impressed.
My Yves slippers are a beautiful Burgundy, keep my feet toasty warm and are completely practical around the house with the elastic side that makes them easy to slip on and off and the firm rubber sole so I can nip outside if I need too and am fully protected from the lego/marble/tiny sharp toy fiasco that is my home.
Anyone who knows me will be fully aware that spending hours shopping for clothes is not my thing. I like just to find a few key items that look great and are comfortable and practical. This is especially important to me over winter!
Last weekend I went to my Aunt’s wedding. I had no idea what to wear to an autumn wedding and I’m not the kind of girl to have a wardrobe full of options. Thankfully Pink Clove came to the rescue. Continue reading Dress Shopping with Pink Clove→
