My baby boy is now 6 years old. SIX!! How did that even happen? This year I was very clear to him that he could either have a party with all of his school chums, or he could have a special day out with his bestie.

He opted for a special day out, which was lovely and perfect (and a real relief as it was cheaper and more fun for me) but I had a surprise up my sleeve for him. As a treat I said he could invite three friends round for a birthday tea after school, so he could have cake and a but of fun.
We were recently sent two fab toys from the Thomas & Friends range by Trends UK. A Thomas & Friends Smart Tablet along with a Thomas & Friends Flip & Learn Phone. Aimed at preschoolers (18m to 4yrs) these were a little young for L so they went to one of our friends to use and explore.
The So Magic DIY Wonder Garden has been a revelation for us. It is a wonderful toy on many, many levels. Some obvious, some not so obvious.
The main idea of the Wonder Garden is to create your very own little world. With a sparkling slime pool, coloured sand gardens, arches, decorations, stones and cute little animals all surrounding the centerpiece. A crystal tree you get to grow and watch transform over 12 hours.
All summer long we had builders in working on our extension. Mostly the weather was great so we were just chilling out in the garden, or we had days out planned. When we were tired we still had an internet connection so we could watch Netflix in the conservatory. It genuinely wasn’t too bad.
However, some days we were home, the weather was rubbish and on many of those days we had no internet as, on occasion, it had to be unplugged so things could be built. Those days were long. So freaking long.
We’re big fans of So Slime DIY here. It’s quick, easy, mess free and a lot of fun. So what is the perfect thing to do on a rainy day during the summer holidays? A day where we just want to chill at home? Make Slime, that’s what! So Slime DIY Slimelicious to be precise.
L loves dinosaurs and he loves Zuru Smashers, so he was super happy when they released their third series of smashers that were all dino themed. You can only imagine his joy when he received a HUGE Dino Smasher Egg. The Dino Epic Egg to be precise.
Like most kids L loves Slime, it’s squishy, oozy and makes gross sounds when you push it back into a tub! What’s not to love? We’ve got a great set at home from So Slime DIY to easily make slime ourselves and it’s a quick and easy activity to while away a bit of time. When we found they not made slime that changes colour we were super excited to try it.
Disclosure – We have been gifted a fabulous box of Toy Story 4 goodies from shopDisney to celebrate Toy Story 4 hitting the cinemas. All thoughts, opinions and images are my own.
Our amazing bundle of Toy Story 4 Toys from shopDisney
I’m not sure I even know where to start with this. The first Toy Story was released in 1995 when I was 11 years old. It’s magic is something I have grown up with and now with Toy Story 4 soon hitting the cinema screens I am getting ready to share the excitement with L.
We have a lot of SuperZings in our house. L loves them, they are fun and easy to play with. They are small enough he can grab a handful to take out with him anywhere and come with fun playsets that keep him amused for hours. Plus, they are pocket money prices, winner! We have been sent a bundle of the new Series 3 Rivals of Kaboom SuperZings to have a look at and L was thrilled.
