Fielding Cottage Norfolk Holidays has three wonderful rural ‘barn style’ cottages located on a farm at Honingham, just 20 minutes’ drive from Norwich.  This is the perfect retreat for celebrating Christmas or New Year where all three barns can be taken together.

Where to stay?

‘The Nest’ is perfect for a couple’s retreat. This cosy self-catering cottage is situated on the first floor and includes a comfortable double bedroom, a spacious ensuite bathroom including a shower, a well-equipped kitchen and an adjoining lounge area. (Sleeps two).


‘Kingfisher’ is bright clean and modern.  It can sleep up to four people.  The entrance leads in to a large open plan kitchen which has all the home from home conveniences you would expect and spacious living area, leading out to an outside patio.  Upstairs you will find two ensuite bedrooms, one master bedroom which has a bath and a shower, and a twin bedroom with an ensuite shower room.  (Sleeps four).

‘Nightingale’ shares the same layout as Kingfisher with views looking out over the lawn and friendly goats. (Sleeps four). 

All the cottages available are dog-friendly and child-friendly.  A travel cot and stairgate can be provided on request.  On site there is a games room and a ping-pong table, the opportunity to meet the goats and lots of space for outside for playing and exploring.

The Goat Shed is the on-site shop selling their own goats’ milk and cheeses, as well as seasonal vegetables, eggs, coffee, honey, jams, ice cream and the Fielding Cottage Skincare range.

The Beach House at Bacton in North Norfolk is uniquely situated just ten steps from the sea giving panoramic sea views from the property. The property is great for a bucket and spade holiday providing traditional no frills accommodation in a stunning location for a family-friendly holiday on the North Norfolk coast.

Miles of sandy beaches await and just walking distance from the shops, cafes and fish and chip shop.  The Beach House sleeps five, offering one double bedroom, a second bedroom sleeping three in bunk beds.  This property has a separate WC and bathroom, which includes shower and bath.  There is an open plan kitchen/living area, and French doors that open out to the cliffs and sea below. There is a sunroom giving spectacular views from the comfort of your armchair!

The fine city of Norwich has something for everyone!  There is fabulous Christmas shopping in the Norwich Lanes or in Jarrold, an independent department store that has been family run since 1823. Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery are highlights as well as the stunning Norwich Cathedral. 

There’s plenty of children’s attractions to visit too in Norfolk from BeWILDerwood to Amazona Zoo, Wroxham Barns to ROARR!, the dinosaur park. 

The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts is an inspirational public art museum in a world-class Norman Foster building at the University of East Anglia, just a short drive from the cottage.

The Norwich food and entertainment scene is much talked about. Treat your family to a meal in the city at one of the many independently run restaurants or enjoy a cosy pub in the countryside, such as the award-winning The Kings Head at Bawburgh or The Buck at Honingham a short drive from the Honingham cottages.
