That time of year is here, so if you are looking for some ideas for great gifts to get for your nearest and dearest this year I’ve pulled together a few of my favourite items for you.
More than Gin Baubles from Demijohn £30.16
I love Demijohn, they stock a great range of amazing spirits and liqueurs and you can always get something a bit different from them.
Whilst I am always happy with gin, lets not lie and pretend I’m not, it has taken over a bit recently and the ‘More than Gin’ baubles from Demijohn are the perfect festive gift for the non gin drinker n your life.
6 miniature bottles from their extensive range, ready to be hung, as is. from the tree. Because if we’re honest, who needs baubles when you can have bottles.
Gin Plaques from Baytree Interiors from £7.95
Whilst we’re talking alcohol I absolutely adore the plaques from Baytree Interiors, they are the perfect gift for a gin lover like me.
‘When Life Hands You Lemons, Grab the Gin & Call the Girls’ adorns my kitchen wall and they so many others to choose from.
I can name three friends right this second who I would buy these for and if given a bit of time reckon I could think of a few more. The price even leaves these open as a Secret Santa possibility!
Anything from On! Juniper from £1.56
I know bath products are often viewed as a bit of a cop out gift, well you haven’t tried On! Juniper in that case. They make AMAZING lip balms and bath bombs for kids.
We’ve tried a couple of their bath bombs and they certainly got the seal of approval from L, I’ve not seen him leap in the bath quicker.
They tinted the whole of his bath and with 100% organic and natural colourants, I honestly can’t rate them highly enough and the packaging is superb! So much fun and all recyclable.
12” supersoft Pikachu gives the very best of cuddles and is great to take with you wherever you go! Pikachu naturally stores up electricity in its body, and it needs to discharge that energy on a regular basis to maintain good health. To take advantage of this some have suggested creating a Pikachu-fuelled power plant. Suitable from 2 years. Available from Argos, Asda, Debenhams, JLP, Amazon, Toymaster and Shop Direct.
Sugru from £6.99
I’m sure Sugru makes it into my gift guides every year! But for me Sugru is as essential as batteries and mince pies.
It is a mouldable glue, it feels like a putty and can be moulded into any shape and dries into a waterproof, durable, non conductive, flexible silicone.
It comes in so many colours and can be used to fix, well, everything. From worn charging cables, to broken toys we haven’t found a fix it can’t handle. Plus, you can use it to create hooks, safety stops and more.
It will cure at least one Christmas meltdown and become that one product you find you rely on year round. In our house, if it breaks, we turn to Sugru almost without fail.
Threaders Cute Companions Crochet Kits from Crafter’s Companion £14.99
I love a good craft and always welcome a craft kit as a gift for myself, so know a lot of my crafty friends will love them too.
I often fall back upon Crafter’s Companion as they have such a brilliant range and the Threaders Cute Companions Crochet Kits make brilliant gifts.
I often don’t know where to start when I actually get a moment to craft so having a kit helps me immensely. Each kit contains everything you need to create your own cute character design, including soft-quality cotton yarn, crochet hook, filling, tools and instructions.
Gruffalo Bamboo Dinner Set £15
This beautiful, eco friendly feasting set is made from bamboo and perfect for early years. We love sets like these as they are hard wearing and have proved to perfect for L when he was little and just starting to eat and he still uses them now as they are just more fun, and far less breakable, than our plates.
The Gruffalo is one of his favourites, as it is for many kids, so I know this would make a fabulous gift.
Available from Waterstones and www.gruffaloshop.com.

Little Brian is an award-winning craft/toy brand which produces a range of innovative Paint Sticks, which allow for hours of fun without the hassle and mess of traditional painting, music to the ears of any busy parent.

DIY Crystal Card Kit from Craft Buddy £4.99
I love sending cards for Christmas and nearly always make my own, I get joy in creating something and I hope the recipient gets joy from knowing I out time and thought into making it.
The Crystal Card Kits are brilliant and so easy to make, only an hour, if that, and you have a completed project that shimmers and shines in the most festive of ways.
These kits are also perfect to get your older kids (8 years plus) to keep them occupied during the Christmas break, I would have killed for a kit like this as a kid.

The perfect stocking filler that’s not going to break the bank. Useful too. BIC, in partnership with Design and Shine competition winner, 13-year-old Evie Sherry, have launched the ultimate limited-edition BIC® 4 Colours Décor.
