I’ve already done all my Christmas shopping, but Christmas is about so much more than that. It’s about family and special times, making memories and having fun. You can do all of that at intu Chapelfield and L and I had a brilliant day exploring what they had to offer. So off we went Christmassing at intu Chapelfield.
Sheridan Smith, marketing manager at intu Chapelfield explains: “Christmas Day is over in a flash and can be a little frantic for those in charge of ensuring that everyone else has a fantastic time. But the weeks before, when the excitement really starts to build, are every bit as special. So this year at intu we’re encouraging people to really make the most of those ‘build up’ moments. Whether you’re meeting with friends for a mulled wine, adding a new beautiful bauble to your decoration box, or finally finding the perfect bright red lipstick for your work night out, a visit to intu Chapelfield can help trigger that festive feeling.”
With my Christmas gifts all sorted it was nice for L and I just to wander round the shops and soak up the atmosphere. L loved the all the decorations.
We went to see the tree outdoors and L loved the sparkly light bauble you can walk through inside, we definitely had to stop for a selfie! All of the stores have decorated and there are even displays round the escalators from House of Fraser to the car park!
We had a look round a few shops and treated ourselves to some pre-christmas gifts. L got himself a Miss Fritter (from Cars 3) toy from the Disney Store, a place filled with Christmas spirit. I got a Yankee Candle Advent Calendar from a lovely new store that sold bath bombs and candles and so many pretty things but I have managed to forget the name of! It has so many beautiful things to choose from, just tucked round the corner from the main escalators, you should definitely have a little peek in.
Of course we had to check out the Boots 3 for 2 offers and I got some lovely things from there. Of course I went to my favourite store, Tiger, got the obligatory Surprise Bag for £2 and some extra bits for our Christmas Eve hamper.
The part I enjoyed the most though was sitting down for lunch with L at BB’s Coffee & Muffins and enjoying some Christmas Muffins together. It was lovely and relaxed and we were able to do all of this using the intu Chapelfield gift card that is accepted at nearly every store and restaurant there.
For me it was nice to just enjoy some relaxed time shopping and soaking up the festive atmosphere without any pressure or agenda. No shops we had to visit or things we had to buy. We were very much just Christmassing for the fun of it.
L enjoyed the decorations and loved that everywhere was sparkling with twinkly lights and pretty baubles. It was just a really nice way to spend the day.
