I’m actually really excited to share this review with you. Morse Toad are a fab chocolate making company that I have used for a few years now and they have released a new product. Chocolate Puns in the post. We have been sent one to try out and were not disappointed. 

What is a Chocolate Pun?

A chocolate pun is a rather large slab of chocolate with a picture pun printed on it. All edible of course.

At the moment there are five puns to choose from but more will be added.

We went for Have A Super Day with a picture of Superman. I thought this would be a nice little gift for L to give his Daddy. A ‘just because’ kind of a treat.

It made his not so super day change to a genuinely super day. Perfect! That is what pun gifts are all about, surely. 

Personalisation

There are two levels of personalisation available for your pun.

Option one (£6.95) : pick your picture of Mr Morse Toad for the gift card (is he a Mr, I don’t know, but it has a ring to it) and add your own message to the card. 

Option two (£8.20) : upload a picture of your very own onto the gift card and write your message.

We went for option two and I’m so pleased we did as the gift card is like a credit card, the same size and thickness, nice and sturdy. It’s almost a gift in itself and certainly something that will be kept. A lovely picture with  a lovely message on the back. 

The Chocolate

The chocolate is delicious. Thick. Smooth. Creamy. Perfect Belgian milk chocolate.

Break it into bits or just bite into it and gnaw your way through.

I can tell you it didn’t last long, the recipient did not share it, not even a little corner was offered up and it was thoroughly enjoyed. 

Delivery

All of the Morse Toad gifts are letterbox friendly. So you can send them to anyone, safe in the knowledge it will be waiting on the doormat for them when they get home.

We went for standard delivery and it was there the next day. Amazingly fast. Standard delivery is free and uses Royal Mail.

It’s worth noting orders  placed before 1PM are shipped the same day. Orders made after  1PM will be shipped the next day.

You can obviously pay extra to get delivery on a specific day or to have them mailed internationally if you wish.

Why I love Morse Toad

I fell in love with Morse Toad after they were included in a Degustabox a coupe of years ago.

The chocolate is sublime and the idea of being able to create your own message in chocolate and post it was just wonderful. So I then went on to buy several gifts from them via Not On The High Street. I do enjoy buying personalised gifts.

The packaging is fun, the idea behind the gifts is fun. I have never had an issue with service and as far as I a concerned no message is ever better conveyed than when it is conveyed in chocolate.

Now with the new puns in the post gifts there is even more choice, but still with everything I love.
