It is safe to say Lakeland is up there as one of my favourite stores, there’s always a new gadget, gift or kitchen accessory I want so I was really excited to get to review Doddle Bags for them.
Doddle Bags are reusable food and drink pouches, but more than that they can be used for toiletries when you are travelling, using with paints, any liquid basically.
They are perfect for on the go, they are leak proof, have anti-choke caps and are dishwasher and freezer safe. They are simply amazing and I have been a bit blown away by them.
Now I’ve used refillable food pouches for a while with my boy, they are fab, great when you are weaning and even when they are older you can fill them with smoothies and fruit purees as a treat, even serve them frozen on a hot day. I could see straight away the Doddle Bags would be excellent for this, so I didn’t bother using them for food and went straight to trying other things.
We went for drinks first, it’s been hot recently, so I made up just some simple squashes and froze them. Then popped them into our day bag. L really enjoyed drinking from the pouches and he loved the slushy cold drinks.
Firstly they arrived a few days before we went to Devon, so I decanted some of L’s shampoo and body wash into pouches to save on space. I would have never thought of this, they were perfect and meant I could just squeeze out what was needed whilst we were in the smallest shower known to man with complete ease.
These are also suitable meet airport regulations for travelling with liquids so I’ll completely be using them when I head off to Germany at the end of the month, so pleased about that.
Next I tried out them out with some of my craft supplies, they were great for decanting paints into so I knew L couldn’t make too much mess, I will definitely be getting some of the paint brush attachments for them. Little brushes that screw onto the pouch instead of the lids and you squeeze the paint out directly through them, perfect. They make spoon attachments as well, for feeding on the go.
We also used them to mix our own glitter glue in, that was fun.
I love the simple clear design, meaning they can be used for so many things. I also love the super bright and colourful lids, it just adds a little something and made L really excited about using them. They also come with large circular labels you can stick onto the pouches, each colour lid has a corresponding coloured label, so you know you’re putting the right lid back onto the right pouch. Would want to mix a paint lid with a smoothie pouch after all!
There are measurements up the side so you know how much you are popping into the bags. They stand upright so you can easily fill them and the seal on them is superb, no leaks even when squashed into an over filled toiletry bag that is then packed into an equally overfilled suitcase! They wash up amazingly, really easily, so you could re-use them time and time again.
Doddle Bags are £9.99 for a pack of ten from Lakeland which I think is amazing value for money.
