Last weekend I went to my Aunt’s wedding. I had no idea what to wear to an autumn wedding and I’m not the kind of girl to have a wardrobe full of options. Thankfully Pink Clove came to the rescue. 

Pink Clove are a plus sized clothing specialist with sizes from 16 to 28. They stock all sorts of clothing in a huge variety of styles and they use real models, even mentioning the model and some details about her in the listing so you can judge how it would look on you. I found this very useful when finding the perfect wedding outfit.

I went straight to the new collection and was able to filter it down to dresses straight away, I figured I would have to leave my jeans and tshirt comfort zone for a wedding!

There was so much to choose from, a lot was too casual or too dressy for me. Some were too short, too bright or just not me, but plenty were perfect and I knew I would be able to find the one for me.

I originally opted for a black dress with a lace overlay and floral embroidery, but I was worried black wasn’t appropriate for a wedding, however pretty the embroidery. Then I saw some mustard yellow, my favourite colour of the season, the perfect colour for an autumn wedding. 

The Plus Faith Tie Midi dress was the perfect length for me, the tie at the waist allowed me to get the fit just right and it had sleeves, I do like my arms to be covered. What I didn’t know from the pictures was that the fabric would be the ideal weight for an autumn wedding too, it was just heavy enough to provide a little protection from the chill air whilst still flowing beautifully. It also meant it hung nicely instead of clinging, very well designed, especially as I am larger.

It fitted so well and looked great. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many compliments which is always nice, but most importantly I felt comfortable and happy, for once I felt good about how I looked. 

I would certainly shop with Plus Clove again, they have such a great range and have thought about what I needed to make my shopping experience easier. Real models, real clothes and real fashion.
