Faceittea Review & Competition

I’ve been very excited to try Faceittea, a sustainable skincare brand that looks to revitalise your skincare routine with all-natural plant-based ingredients, and also help look after our planet with zero-waste packaging.

We’ve been trying really hard at home to reduce our plastic use and use more sustainable products so Faceittea sounded perfect. Plus the treat of some luxury face care products was appealing to me. A little treat!

Faceittea

I have been sent the Hello Hydrated Kit and it is delightful. My skin has been put through a lot recently. The constant mask wearing at work has left it feeling both dry and greasy at the same time. Coupled with a lot of sun this last week and before that the bitter cold. It was certainly ready for some looking after.

The Hello Hydrated Kit is currently on offer at £75 and normally retails at £106. In it you get a selection of Faceittea products all designed to help target dryness. In the box you get:

Cleaning Pads

Skin Reset tea cleansing pads. Gently exfoliate, cleanse and lightly hydrate skin with konjac fibres infused with organic lavender tea. I am obsessed with these pads. They smell divine. They exfoliate just the right amount. They are reusable, you can use each pad about 8 times. When you have finished with them you can just pop them in your home compost bin. Most importantly they leave my skin feeling clean and fresh!

Skin Reset clay mask. Brighten and soothe dull, dry skin with an organic clay mask blend of pure organic lavender and skin-nourishing vitamins. I’ll be honest, I haven’t used this yet. It’s a clay powder that you mix with water to create the mask. There’s a little scoop in the packet for you to measure out the right amount. By shipping the dry product and adding the water at home they are saving weight and that helps reduce the carbon footprint of the shipping.

Cleaning Pads

Heal and Glow ointment. Treat, calm, and nourish skin with a powerful and effective blend of wild-harvested herbs, blossoms, and all-natural shea butter. This rich balm is a real treat for damaged skin. Use it two or three times a week, or whenever you need an extra boost. Massage into clean skin and leave it to work it’s magic for 10 to 20 minutes before washing off with warm water. It is intensely moisturising and whilst heavier than my normal products because you use it more like a mask it’s really quite the treat. I have had a dreadfully dry patch of skin on my forehead that I haven’t been able to shift, one treatment with the Heal and Glow ointment and it’s hardly noticeable, I honestly think it will be gone within the week.

Heal and Glow

Miracle oil. Hydrate, soften, and plump up skin with cold-pressed virgin marula oil that is packed with essential fatty acids and vitamins. Can be used on face and body. A few drops of this oil go a long way. It’s light and soaks in nicely, I’ve been using it in the evenings after I have cleansed and it just adds the perfect level of moisture back to the skin leaving it wonderfully soft.

The products are wonderful. A real treat. They are luxurious and great quality, I feel really pampered after using them. It’s like a mini spa at home, that you can do everyday. The fact they are natural and sustainable just makes me love them more. Are they expensive? Yes. But no more so than other luxury skin care products, they will also last longer and are of the highest quality. In my mind everything is well worth the money.

Faceittea

They carefully source all their ingredients prefering to use wild-harvested ingredients, free from chemicals and pesticides. They choose their ingredients to work as well as the chemical or synthetic counterparts, but unlike those synthetic products, which do us no favours when they end up in landfill and work their way to our oceans, Faceittea ingredients are chosen to ensure no known toxins are introduced to the ecosystem when you use them.

As a certified low waste company even the packaging has been well thought out. The product packaging is made from recycled paper, bound with a plant-based gelatine glue and the delivery packaging is made from recycled Kraft cardboard. Everything is completely recyclable but if it does end up in landfill, it will biodegrade completely within just 4 weeks.

So as you can probably tell I am very impressed. Not just with products themselves which are truly pampering and very high quality, but with everything from the packaging to the general ethos of the company.

  1. This would be fantastic to win for my daughter. Thanks for the chance.

  2. Thanks for the great prize and competition. My partner would love this.

  3. With so many products and brands about, it really makes a difference when a company cares about its ingredients and manufacturing process. These sound great!

  4. I haven’t really heard to much about this brand prior to your review, my daughter is an sfx makeup artist so her skin takes a battering especially if she has used face paints a lot, so something thorough like this would probably giver her skin a much needed pampering.

  5. I’ve not come across this brand before but would love to try it. I’m always keen to try new products as my skin is troublesome – combination, with anything too rich or oily bring me out in spots!

  6. these skin products sound nice. I like that their packaging is biodegradable.

  7. Who doesn’t love a good pamper too, and it sounds like they are great!

  8. A new brand to me. Looks lovely and so good that it is sustainable, too. Lovely!

  9. thanks for the chance to win. I was thinking if I won I might give it to my mum as a suprise.
