Father's Day

Father’s Day Gift Guide 2021

I don’t know about you but it doesn’t seem like a year has past since last Father’s Day, my sense of time has been completely scrambled with all the lockdowns and back and forth this last 12 months has bought us. But yet it is fast approaching so, if it has taken you by surprise, as it has me, I’ve got you covered with some great gift ideas.

ASDA Photo

I’ve used ASDA photo before and loved them, great products, easy to use and great value. When it comes to gifts I love something personalised with a picture and so this year I had a look at all they had to offer and with the hope of a holiday in the not to distant future decided the only way to go was the personalised beach towels. Huge and soft these towels can be printed in any number of designs but it was the comic book style Best Dad Ever Explosion (£37) that caught my eye. Fabulous!

Treasure Trails

Treasure Trails is another company I’ve used time and time again. They make amazing themed trails for you to follow around the UK. We haven’t visited an area yet where there hasn’t been a trail! As we enjoy a good walk, but have become a little bored with the same old locations I thought a nice family day out and a walk with a purpose would make a nice gift. So I had a look at all the local trails, picked one for a village we don’t visit all that regularly but I know as a nice pub and selected our next adventure. The trails are a great way to spend time together as a family and add a little excitement to a walk, a sense of challenge and a whole heap of fun. Starting at £9.99 you can get a print at home version for immediate adventure, a posted copy (which I enjoy and think is worth the P&P) or you can even personalise one with photos!

Shepherd Neame

Shepherd Neame is Britain’s oldest brewer and they are based in Faversham, Kent. Their online shop is filled with fabulous Father’s Day gifts, there are bottles, cans and mini kegs. Ales and ciders. Their newest product, Noughty Bear is a 0.5% IPA that has only 70 calories. There really is something for everyone. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to their shop in Faversham, you can shop online with them too. Now, if like me, you recognise some of the names (Spitfire and Bishops Finger have been seen in my home before) but don’t actually know for sure what the dad you are buying for likes and doesn’t like they also have fabulous collection boxes (from £28.50) so you can try a little bit of everything.

Haribo

Haribo have some really lovely Father’s Day gift ideas and I particularly like these as they are definitely within the realm of little ones going out to buy for their dad’s. There’s a really cute Starmix gift box, it’s filled with the classic Egg, Ring, Bear, Cola Bottle and Heart shaped pieces. Or of course you could go for the Football Mix. With its football, boot and trophy shaped, fruity pieces it’s a great pocket money gesture for all those footy fans out there. You can find these fun treats at Heron Foods, B&M, Sainsbury’s, Spar and Co-op.

The Personal Shop is a personalised gifts store for any occasion. They sell an amazing range of Father’s Day gifts and I was genuinely spoilt for choice. With a wide range of products and prices to suit any budget it’s a great place to head of you are stuck for ideas. The site is easy to navigate and even more importantly easy to order from. I particularly enjoyed the Personalised “Beer Happy” LED Colour Changing Light, it can run off batteries (not included) or using the supplied micro USB cable. It’s a fun way to celebrate dad and with the bright colours makes a nice light feature too.

Maps International

Maps International have a lovely range of ‘scratch off‘ maps that make brilliant gifts for dad. Most of them can be personalised with a message too. So whether they are into cycling, climbing, football or maybe even visiting breweries you’ll find something that interests them. They are very reasonably priced too, we were sent the UK Breweries Scratch Off Map to look at and that is currently starting at £11.05 (it’s on sale) and can be personalised. As husband tries beers, or maybe even visits, the breweries on the map then he can scratch off the panel to reveal a new bolder colour. I really like these, the quality is fab and I think I might get a gin one for myself!

Supercar Experience

If you really want to treat dad this year why not go all out with a Supercar Driving Experience from Buyagift? They are not as expensive as you might think and they have lots of different levels to choose from. We recently tried out the Four Supercar Driving Blast with High Speed Passenger Lap for £149. Despite the weather great fun was had and the value for money offered is superb. After a really rubbish year it makes for a great day out and a truly excellent gift. For a more detailed rundown of what you get head to my review.

Trendhim

For some practical and stylish gifts Trendhim will have you covered. We’ve used them before and been really impressed by the choice and the service. With travel now being an option for us there are lots of missed trips being rescheduled (some for the 3rd or 4th time) that will hopefully being going ahead. I’m sure this is the same for a lot of people. So I thought it would be nice to be able to travel in style with a new bag from Trendhim. Now I opted for a Lazy Bear Foldable Duffel Bag, it’s looks great, holds loads and stores away nice and small. Perfect for those long weekends and golf trips that seem to be popping up in the calendar. There are so many other choices though so I’d definitely have a look.

Virgin Wines

It’s not just wine you can purchase from Virgin Wines, no, no. They sell spirits too. They also have some rather nice gift sets ready for Father’s Day. Now we opted for this rather delicious Duppy Share Caribbean Rum that comes beautifully boxed with the Duppy Share Metal Tumbler. It instantly transports you to a sunny beach and that in itself is gift enough. It’s smooth and sweet and rich, a blend of  two premium Rums from Worthy Park in Jamaica and Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. Best yet it’s only £34.99. If rum isn’t your thing there are plenty of other gift sets available, in fact you’ll be spoilt for choice.
