For my birthday a couple of years ago I was given a great book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends. To help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday since and on Wednesday’s (or late on a Tuesday) I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.
Good grief I’ve kept the kid busy this week. I’m flipping shattered and so is he. Plus I’ve been juggling work and attempting to blog! It’s been fab though, we’ve done so much and had a blast.
Here are my top ten moments from the last week:

1 – Wednesday was my catch up day at home and I got a fair bit done, mainly laundry but a few other bits too which was nice. When I went to pick the kid up from camp he was just miffed to be coming home! I was glad he was having so much fun though.

2- Picking up a fully camouflaged child from camp. L does not do face paints. It has only been this year we’ve managed to get him to have little pictures painted onto his cheeks, so to find him fully painted as ‘army’ was brilliant.

3 – After a truly dreadful drop off at camp and then finding that his bestie had fallen and hurt himself so gone home it was a real delight to pick the Hulk up from camp and be told off for being to early as he had been doing jobs!! The staff at Barracudas are worth their weight in gold, knowing how to get the best out of each child. They must be so busy and have know real time to get to know any of these kids so it is really impressive.

4 – We’ve got a roof!! Well the shell of a roof but still, that’s amazing. It’s all happening really fast now.

5 – We had an amazing day at Pensthorpe on Saturday. We had never visited before and it had something for everyone. Brilliant play areas with huge twisty turny slides, stunning gardens, beautiful birds and interesting walks. We were sad to leave and could have spent the whole day there.

6- Being eaten by a goose! I was only trying to take a picture. They were hilarious, and had softer beaks than I was expecting.

7 – Getting to ride in an actual, real life, combine harvester. I feel I may have peaked to early with holiday awesomeness for the kid. It was fab. His friend’s grandparents own a farm and invited the boys over to ‘help’ and I use the term loosely, with the harvest. They got to ride in the combine and on a tractor. So much fun.

8 – Heading off to Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure for a family day out. We had a lot of fun and L enjoyed himself so much. It’s a great day out and a place we keep on returning to.

9 – We had a fun day exploring the oceans at SEA Life in Hunstanton. We went with friends which is always fun as the kids get to play as we have a chat. I always enjoy watching the fish, I find it calming and I love the huge Sea Turtle.

10 – Finishing our day with a play on the beach, digging holes and finding shells. Who could want more. Watching my kid play happily as I sit and watch the world go by all calm and content.
I’m really glad I write down a few positives from each day and then go back through them each week. It helps keep me focused, calm and therefore happy. It is also a great way to keep a note of the things we’ve done.
I’m linking up with #BloggerClubUK just because I love them.

Awesome.
