Fireman Sam 30th Birthday Review & Competition

Everybody’s favourite fireman is back with a new DVD collection of tales and rescue in “Fireman Sam – Sam’s Birthday”, released by Abbey Home Media on Monday 3rd April.

Fireman Sam is marking 30 years on our screens in 2017, and is set to celebrate in this new collection of tales from the ultimate hero next door and his crew. Fireman Sam lives in the accident-prone town of Pontypandy, where he helps with fighting fires, manning the lifeboat, helping the mountain rescue, or joining up with the emergency medical services. With his colourful cast of helpers, he is always there to lend a hand!

In this new DVD release it’s Fireman Sam’s birthday and Charlie has asked Joe to make Sam a remote control model of Jupiter as a surprise present. At the Fire Station, Station Officer Steele has told Sam, as it’s his birthday, he should relax for the day. However, will the birthday party go ahead as planned for everyone’s favourite hero next door?

Episodes featured in this charming collection are:- Sam’s Birthday; Pontypandy in the Park; Paddle On; The Great Party Panic and Pizza Pandemonium.

Fireman Sam – Sam’s Birthday

We’ve been lucky enough to get an early copy and other than me realising that Sam’s Birthday or not, Norman Price is the most irritating child in the entire world, it’s actually really nice to have Fireman Sam on DVD.

It’s changed a lot over 30 years, with updated animations, modern story lines and new and exciting fire fighting equipment but it has still retained a lot of its charms.

I don’t mind watching an episode or two with L and he just adores it! He get’s really into the storylines, worried if characters are in danger, cheering Sam and his friends on when they go in for the rescue and ultimately playing out his own versions of the drama in the garden as he pretends to be a fireman.

If you would like the chance to win a copy of this great Birthday DVD for yourself just enter your details into the Gleam App below.

Good luck x

  1. Who doesn’t love Sam although Norman is our favourite character as he’s always getting a pickle. Thanks for the chance to win!
