In a couple of weeks we are going on holiday to Devon and the lovely John Fowler Holidays are putting up with us for a few nights at their Sandaway Beach resort.
It is fair to say that we can’t wait, we went to Devon last year and explored a lot of the South of the county so to return to the North this year will be epic. It’s a long car journey for us, 6 hours, without stops, so you know we’ve either got to be super excited or just plain crazy to do that with a toddler.
John Fowler Holidays have parks in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset and offer a range of accommodation from caravans, which s what we’ll be staying in, to apartments and camping or touring pitches.
Like any good holiday park there’s entertainment, swimming pools and great facilities like shops and food outlets on site which all make travelling with a toddler an absolute dream. Some of the parks even have private beaches which I have to say is very appealing.
Plus they have some amazing offers and really fun looking theme weekends, at Sandaway we’re excited about the heated outdoor pool, the outdoor play area and indoor soft play, it’s the little things that can make a big difference when you’re travelling with a toddler and having somewhere inside and outside to burn off some extra energy is so useful! I am also very excited that there is a takeaway on site, after all mummy deserves a holiday too.
We’ll be teaming up with The Devon Association of Tourist Attractions again this year to make sure we have plenty to do to keep the little one entertained.
All I can say is be prepared to be bombarded with photos when we get back! There’ll be some useful information too, like where to go and what to do.
Finger’s crossed for some good weather.
Disclosure – we will be travelling under our own steam but our accommodation and days out are being provided, I wasn’t asked to write this post I just thought it would be nice. Pictures are from John Fowler’s
