One thing we have always done with L is to make sure he has a daily multivitamin. It’s a habit we got into at an early age and one I hope continues into his later life. Recently we’ve been trying two of the supplements on offer from Higher Nature.
We’ve been using a Vitamin D spray and the chewable Multivitamins.
The Kids Vitamin D Spray 625iu supports essential growth and development, vitamin D is produced in the skin after exposure to the sun. Which has been in short supply this summer and isn’t about to get any better! During the darker months, it’s easy to develop a deficiency in this essential vitamin, but the mint-flavoured spray is a quick, fun way to keep the kids topped up. L loves it and it’s so easy to give, just a quick spray in the mouth and jobs done.
It costs £9.99 for a 13.5ml spray which sounds like a lot but that will give around 240 sprays, which at one a day because that’s all you need, should last you about 8 months! Bargain.
Now for the Higher Nature Kids Vital Vits these are a multivitamin and mineral chewable tablet for children over 3 years. Kids Vital Vits provides 19 essential vitamins and minerals including vitamins A, C, D, B vitamins, folic acid and iron to support your child’s health.
In three delicious fruity flavours, Kids Vital Vits are perfect for growing children – especially fussy eaters or those not eating a sufficiently varied diet, who may not be getting all the nutrients that they need. Now I don’t think L is too fussy but there are times he doesn’t eat as well as I would like, so what’s the harm in some additional support. He loves the Mango and Raspberry flavoured tablets, though the Lemon & Lime is very tart and he’s not the biggest fan, he still takes it without grumbling but it’s good the other two flavours are there so I can mix it up.
They are suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians, free from artificial sweeteners and preservatives and just one chewable tablet a day provides children with the nutrients and vitamins needed to support a good daily diet.
These cost £8.40 for 30 tablets which are a little more expensive than those I currently purchase but they do have a better range of vitamins and minerals included in them, so for a month supply I’d be more than happy to buy them.
L likes the fun packaging and has been happy taking them. I mean, who wouldn’t want crocodile medicine! No arguments here. Price wise I’m happy they offer good value and I especially like the easy to use format of the Vitamin D Spray.
