Lex Match

Lex Match Review and Giveaway

Lex Match is a new crazy cube game where you are looking for a five letter word. Any word will do, you’ve just got to make it. It’s simple, fun and deceptively fiendish. It has been a fabulous addition to games night in our house.

Be the first to line up five letters to spell out a word by pushing out your opponents’ cubes and inserting new ones to disrupt their words and form your own. Make words horizontally, vertically and diagonally, and use the LEX cubes, which can stand for any letter you like. If your opponent makes a word that uses a letter on one of your cards, you steal their points! See what I mean about fiendish.

Lex Match

You can use three- or four-letter words for younger players, or just to get you used to the gameplay! We found it easier to play the shorter words with L to start with, just when he was getting used to how the game worked, but it did make the board a bit trickier to set up, just to make sure you didn’t have any one move rounds! Thankfully he got the hang of it pretty quickly and we could move onto five letter words pretty quickly.

I love that when you’re finished you can pack up the entire game, including the cubes and cards, in the game grid, which also works like a handy carry case. It’s quick to set up, quick to put away, easy to travel with and the games don’t last too long. A quick game after dinner and before bed is easy, you don’t need much space to play and when you are done it’s all packed away in seconds.

  1. I am excited about this game. My dad is 93 and having some medical issues that are affecting his brain the more we work his brain the better he seems. I think this would be fun for him something to exercise his brain and have fun at the same time.

  2. Looks like a great game – I don’t think I have come across it before.

  3. I have not heard of this game before. I like that it is suitable for a wide age range!
