Our Day at The Milky Way Adventure Park

As we did so many amazing trips when we were in Devon thanks to Devon’s Top Attractions, I wanted to share them all with you, so over the next few days expect plenty of posts about the places we went, what we loved, what we didn’t and most importantly what toddler L thought of them, so in this article I’ll tell you about our trip to The Milky Way Adventure Park.

Our last full day in Devon was a bit of rainy and miserable one but not to be put off we headed to The Milky Way Adventure Park that has over 110,000 sq ft of indoor play, it was definitely the right choice and couldn’t have been a more perfect place to spend our day.  Continue reading Our Day at The Milky Way Adventure Park

Our trip to Quince Honey Farm did not start well, as it was around an hour from where we were staying at Sandaway Beach Holiday Park and some of the other days out we went on we knew it was perfect napping distance so decided to go one afternoon. We went after a really great morning at The BIG Sheep and the little one slept the whole way there, on the bizarre detour we took and in the car park when we gave up finding places to drive. Watching the ducks

This is the only place we went this year that we had been to before, we had visited The BIG Sheep last year and all had so much fun we just had to come back. When we had previously visited I had really wanted to watch the duck trials and thanks to L only managed about 60 seconds of it, so I had to come back and husb had really wanted to ride the roller coaster but it wasn’t quite finished, so he had to come back and well L just wanted to give the sheep their tea, so clearly he had to visit as well. For my birthday I was given a great new book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends to help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday and on Wednesday’s I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

Cheesy Smiles!

This week has certainly been a come down after our holiday, with a toddler who has just been unbelievably tired, both the other half and I being so busy with work and just getting back into our routines whilst dealing with some really horrible weather has not been fun.

It’s not all be bad though, here are my top 10 moments from the past 7 days;

We went to Watermouth Castle on our first full day in Devon, following two days of travelling and therefore two nights in different bedrooms we picked Watermouth Castle because it was literally 5 minutes from Sandaway Beach Holiday Park where we staying. I liked the idea that we could have a lazy morning and head there for when it opened, stay as long as L wanted and then be back to the caravan in minutes for more laziness.  Continue reading Our Day at Watermouth Castle

We went to Knightshayes on our first day in Devon, we had split up our journey from Norfolk to Devon by staying in Winchester the night before and handily Knightshayes was practically on the way to our accommodation at Sandaway Beach Holiday Park. Continue reading Our Day at Knightshayes

Locally Sourced Meals

Today is the first day of The East of England Co-op‘s sourced locally fortnight. I have always loved how the EoE Co-op has supported our local producers and this fortnight celebration highlighting what you can buy from local producers is an amazing way to discover new foods, last year I found Hadleigh Maid and I’m now addicted to their Hot Chocolate.
