It’s that time of year when we get to spoil all the great dad’s out there. Father’s Day is Sunday 19th June, so not long to go and that’s good because I love Father’s Day, I probably enjoy it a bit more than I do Mother’s Day but it can be a struggle finding a great gift so here are a few idea’s for you all. Last week we were on holiday in Devon and we were lucky enough to have some amazing days out, but sometimes planning things to do with a toddler can be difficult, there’s a lot to think about, cost, activities, changing facilities, food, the list goes on. So here’s a run down of where we went and why we think they are awesome places to bring a toddler for some days out in Devon. Continue reading Top Toddler Days Out in Devon
Devon is about 6 hours in the car from us, so with such a long way t travel there are a few things that we really need to have on arrival. A straight forward check in, something fun to do with L, food and a comfy bed. We were me with all these things. It was lovely.
So in about a year I am going to be a bridesmaid for my little sister. This is just the kind of goal I need to diet, start losing some weight and getting healthier, which all ties in nicely with my quest to be a calmer, happier and healthier person.
I have decided to vlog about my journey as that will give me a visual reminder of where I’ve been and where I am and as it’s something that makes me rather uncomfortable it will also help to keep me in check. Plus it’s always good to push yourself.
During my journey I will be getting to try all kinds of new products and sharing my experiences of them with you. Continue reading Project Bridesmaid #9
For my birthday I was given a great new book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends to help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday and on Wednesday’s I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.
We were in Devon all of last week, so I didn’t write my top ten last Wednesday. I’ve been toying with a catch up top 20 this week, just missing a week or doing a top ten from the last 14 days and that is what I have opted for.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks, going away takes up so much time, getting work done before hand, being shattered afterwards. Dealing with everything whilst you are away but without the home comforts. It can be draining but ultimately, we had fun and it was worth it, although there were times during the holiday I may not have said that!
Here are my top 10 moments from the past 14 days;
This plus that equals…. why I blog happy
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This is a post I’ve been thinking about for a while, why I blog happy, there have been a lot of things recently complaining about some mummy blogs being overly positive and therefore fake, one post in particular recently that went viral said we all sucked, nice. This isn’t slamming the blogs that write about the downsides to parenting, they are some of my favourites, they are hilarious, but I choose to be happy, be positive and here’s why.
So if you read my blog a bit then you’ll probably know I’m a huge Beatrix Potter fan and that L love the new Peter Rabbit tales from TV, so he was super excited to get to review the latest DVD offering.
Now my heart is always going to lie with the classic tales, there’s no denying that, but there is something about the new Peter Rabbit that has L transfixed. I think it’s the action more than anything, he adores it when they are being chased in their cart and he loves the owl, even if he’s one of the naughty ones. CLIF Bar, America’s favourite energy bar brand, have launched a new flavour to their range, and I tried it out it.
The new Coconut and Chocolate Chip Energy Bar is filled to the brim with good stuff, making not only great for a pre or post workout snack but also super filling. Continue reading A New Flavour CLIF Bar – Review
To get me in the mood for summer I’ve been using some of new range of organic coconut-scented products from Urtekram.
Urtekram means ‘herbalism’ in Danish and they specialise in amazing organic body care products. I’ve been a fan of Urtekram for a while now, I love their Rose range and I’m a big fan of the Nordic Birch as well, so I was really excited to get to try out some of the new Coconut range.
This plus that equals…. Kids TV that makes me want to scratch my eyes out
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. Last week I shared my fave TV shows, this week I’m sharing the ones I hate most, and yes they are all kids TV shows. Needless to say they are all things my boy loves to watch, on loop, for hours.
