This plus that equals…. My Autumn Wish List
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is my Autumn wish list. With the new season upon us here are just a few things I would like to do, achieve or get this Autumn.

One Halloween Event with L
In Norfolk we are surrounded by beautiful countryside and coastline. There are also a lot of large houses and estates that are open to the public. Loads of these run Halloween events and I really want to take L to one this year. We aren’t big into Halloween, there won’t be trick or treating, the house won’t be decorated. I’ll probably do some crafts with him but that will be it. So an event that’s all sorted for us sounds perfect. I quite fancy Halloween at Holkham, we happened upon it last year, just Husb and I, and I would love to take L.

Secure at least one great brand collaboration for my blog
I’m not exactly in a blogging rut, in fact I’m loving it at the moment. I’ve also had loads of fun brand work, but now summer is over I feel that I don’t have any big events or anything to look forward to. So I’d love to sort out something this Autumn and it’s always good to have blogging goals. It doesn’t have to paid work, but just something substantial. A brand I really love. A bit of ongoing work. An experience, so a night away or an event or something similar.

Get out to the coast
To be fair this is almost a dead cert. We go to the coast a lot. But Autumn is my favourite time of year to go for a good long walk on the beach. I love the whole North Norfolk Coast for walking. There are loads of lovely towns to stop off at and plenty with really good paths so it’s easy with L. Autumn at the beach for me is wrapping up warm, walking as far as we can and then finding somewhere to stop for a hot chocolate and slice of cake before heading back to the car. For me it’s just perfect. I look forward to that first real Autumnal walk so much.

Treat myself to a Spa Day
This is far less likely to happen. But I love a good Spa day and I haven’t had one since the Spring. I’ve been really stressed out recently. As you all know. I can literally feel the stress knotting all of my upper back and shoulders. A good massage and a day, even just a half day, soaking in a hot tub is just what I need. I also really want to take one of my dearest friends as she needs a bit of a boost after a stressful summer too. I would love to just chill out with her for a while, no kids and just chance to chat and unwind.

Start my Christmas shopping
I love Christmas, so it’s never to early to start talking about it. But if I want to truly enjoy it I need to get it organised. That means spreading the cost of gift buying by starting early. I have a folder I go to each year, so I can mark down gift ideas for each person, then tick off who I have bought for and keep a track of expenses. It also shows what I have bought previous years, so to not repeat gifts. I will also have to make the decisions over who is going where and on what day, but that will be put off until nearer the time.
Autumn will also see a host of birthdays, including L’s 3rd Birthday next month. We’ve got a weekend away booked, just husb and I which will be nice and is much needed. There’s lots to look forward to this Autumn, not just the changing of the leaves. What are you looking forward to this Autumn?
Finally, I’m linking up with #TheBabyFormula, #TwinklyTuesday and #fortheloveofBLOG
Oh gosh it’s definitely that time of year – the run down to Christmas. You have some great plans for October, and I would love to Holkham Hall, my sister lives close by. I hope you get some beach days, as well as a big brand collaboration. Thanks so much for linking up at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x

Holkham Hall is fab isn’t it! I’m working on the brand collaboration, it would really boost my spirits. I’ll be back #fortheloveofBLOG today 🙂
A great list. I have bought a couple of stocking fillers, so that’s a start on Christmas. I would love a Spa day. The kids are staying with their dad at the end of November, so if I save my pennies this may be achievable 🙂
