This plus that equals…. things I’m excited about right now

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. After a few weeks of feeling a bit low I’ve decided to focus on things I’m excited about right now.

It’s nice to have things to look forward to and there is some seriously cool stuff coming up.

Hamburg

 

We’ve been invited to Hamburg for a few days for a review in the New Year. I couldn’t be more excited. The last couple of trips abroad I have been on I haven’t been able to take the family, so it will be so nice to include them.

It will be L’s first flight which is exciting and scary all at the same time.

Mainly though I have never been to Hamburg before and I can’t wait to go.

Christmas

 

I’m sorry but I love Christmas. It may only be October but that for me is close enough to start getting ready.

I love everything about it.

The food, the presents, the excuse to have evrything smelling warm and spicy and Christmassy, mulled wine, mince pies, Christmas movies and Christmas songs.

I am really excited about Christmas.

A cooking lesson at School of Wok

 

I arranged this ages ago and had almost forgotten about it but at the end of the month husb and I will be going to London for a cooking lesson at School of Wok.

It’s an amazing oportunity and I’m excited about getting to learn some new skills, eat amazing food and getting to watch my husband actually try to cook.

Not only that but an evening in Lindon just the two if us will be great fun.

L’s First Trip to the Theatre

 

Now that L is three he gets to go on a nursery trip to the theatre.

I’m obviously a bit gutted I won’t be sharing this first with him but I’m excited at the same time.

I get to find out if he will enjoy soething like that and sit through the whole thing without any stress myself.

If he does enjoy it I then get to start doing things like it with him myself. So for me it’s like a stress free trial run and that is pretty cool.

Winter 

 

I really like some parts of Winter. Not the constant rain or general greyness. But I am looking forward to that first frost and the excuse for hot chocolate and soups and wrapping up warm.

I’m excited for the chance of snow. I’m really excited that all the places we love to visit will be empty, there’s nothng like visiting the zoo on a cold day when you have the place to yourself.

I love that L sleeps better because it’s dark. What’s not to love about that right!
