So in under a year I am going to be a bridesmaid for my little sister. This is just the kind of goal I need to diet, focus on my weight loss and getting healthier, which all ties in nicely with my quest to be a calmer, happier and healthier person.
I have decided to vlog about my journey as that will give me a visual reminder of where I’ve been and where I am and as it’s something that makes me rather uncomfortable it will also help to keep me in check. Plus it’s always good to push yourself.
During my journey I will be getting to try all kinds of new products and sharing my experiences of them with you.
Again I’ve left it over a month since I last updated this, I really need to find a way to fit this into my schedule a bit better so I can update more regularly.
I’d been feeling a little disheartened by everything. I was constantly losing and gaining the same 4lb. Up, down, up down. Just not really going anywhere. I also wasn’t really doing anything.
Yes I’ve been busy. I’ve got a hundred and one excuses but mainly my head just hasn’t been in the game.
My current weight loss see me having lost 13lb which is great. When last I updated you I had only lost 8lb and when I started my latest trial with Go Figure diet I had lost 7lb.
It has been just the kick I need and in just over a week I had lost 6lb, which I have kept off and now I have another week’s worth of shakes and flapjacks so I can carry on and hopefully lose a few more pounds!!
It actually took me nearly two weeks to use my first batch of shakes that should have only lasted one week. I had a several days out and L was being funny with hos food for a few days and would only eat the same as me. So clearly I couldn’t give him a shake.
I have really liked using Go Figure and following their 22Go plan as best I can. It’s quick, easy and tastes good. The shakes come in Lush Banana, Vanilla Bean and Cacao Chocolate. I was using Lush Banana and it really was good. Tomorrow it’ll be a week of Vanilla Bean.
The shakes come pre-portioned in nice and discreet pouches, they just need mixing with water, then drink. So easy. They are Gluten free, GMO free and suitable for vegetarians.
The clever bit is the the addition of Slimbione their own patented weight management product that uses glucomannan, which you all know I have used and really rate.
The flapjacks are also amazing. I have now eaten all of my Cacao Orange bars and will be moving onto the Nutty Peanut ones. Also containing Slimbione and cold pressed fruits and gluten free oats they are really tasty and so filling.
To give you an idea, I have to force myself to remember to eat. I actually struggle to be hungry enough for two shakes and two flapjacks and then an evening meal. I have my first shake at around 6.30am, I don’t even think about eating until at least 11am. Honestly, if my son didn’t need feeding I think I would forget meals.
The only downsides I have found to the Go Figure Diet products are that the flapjacks are a bit dry. Not very dry. Just a bit. But that does encourage me to drink more water, so I do wonder if it’s something they did on purpose. The shakes have to be made with icy cold water, straight from the tap is not good enough, has to be from the fridge. Oh and definitely don’t leave them, drink it straight away. I got distracted by something, probably L, and left my shake for 20 minutes or so. It was awful when I went back to it. Thick and lumpy and gloopy. Clearly this is why they work so well. But as a word of warning, don’t do it.
I’m actually feeling quite upbeat and excited for my next week on Go Figure. I have really enjoyed the shakes and I have lost a serious amount of weight. I am back on track and feeling great.
