Yesterday we headed to Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure to enjoy some spooky fun with their Half Term experience, Dippy’s Halloween Days.
Running until 1st November there are mysterious and magical activities taking place every day. But if you want to go book soon, when I checked yesterday tickets were running out fast!

As well as all the usual dino fun through the park, the animals down at the secret garden, predator high ropes andthe soft play now that Dino-mite has re-opened there are some special Halloween treats you can enjoy as well.
Brand new for 2020, guests can join Vincent the Vampire at the Graveyard for some spooky Halloween tales, we didn’t manage to catch Vincent at storytime but we did see him around the park. He seemed like a lovely Vampire, very funny, not scary.

You can also embark on a spine-tingling expedition with the Dinomite gang following clues to find out whether there is a Werewolf in the woods! There was quite the queue for this, but it was worth it. L loved being guided around the maze and helping to find the clues, he joined in and got straight to the point. Our guide was fab and again very funny, they really get the kids.

Another new attraction is the Halloween Witch Crafts with Bobble-de-boop the Witc, this takes place inside Dippy-ville. There are individual craft tables to adhere to social distancing guidelines. We saw lots of happy children leave with skulls they had coloured in but after nearly 5 hours in the park this also wasn’t to be for us, we went home happy and exhausted.

As our previous visit in the summer had shown that Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure offers a COVID safe event, but this time with some Halloween fun. There are hand gel points everywhere, one way systems in place where needed and plenty of reminders to keep a safe distance. For the most part this is an outdoor site so that also helps with that feeling of security.

It’s worth noting that today, Thursday 29th October, Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure are hosting an inclusive day where a Mobiloo will be in the park. This is the second such day they’ve held this half term break.
L loved that the usual Dino medal that you collect was a special Halloween one, with a T Rex on a broom. We really enjoyed spotting all the Halloween decorations dotted about and finding all the parts to the blue skeleton that had been hidden throughout the park. It was a brilliantly fun, spooky but not scary, day out.
