To celebrate the launch of Hartley’s new Mixed Berry Glitter Jelly they sent us a lovely box of goodies so we could have our own sparkly party.
I’m always happy to have an impromptu party, especially a glittery one. As we had been enjoying such glorious weather it made sense to get out in the garden with a barbecue and our decorations to enjoy our party.
So I made my jelly, which was super easy. It comes as granules, which are always really easy to make up and is a glorious bright blue. I poured it into my mould and left it to set whilst I made up some burgers, potato wedges and salad Then I went to get the table and chairs out, I hung streamers, poured drinks and lit the barbecue.
No sooner had the flames taken the heavens literally opened. There was no warning, none at all. Then I had to run around and put everything away as fast as I could. I hadn’t even been able to take pictures!
So soaking wet we had to move our party inside. Everything was cooked in the oven, the decorations had been ruined it just wasn’t the same. I also now had a very disappointed toddler on my hands.
Thankfully there was jelly. Jelly fixes everything. Glittery jelly just fixes it faster. The mixed berry flavour is really yummy and the subtle glitter that runs through it makes it really fun.
Our party may not have gone to plan but it was all OK as we had Hartley’s Mixed Berry Jelly to keep us going.
Disclosure – we received our party pack free of charge.
