Star Monsters

Star Monsters

I’ll be honest. I hadn’t heard of Star Monsters until really recently. Shocking as they are now in their second series. When I went to FunFest a few weeks ago they had a stand and we got chatting. Straight away I could tell they would be something L would love.

Like most little kids L loves small, colourful, tactile, collectable things. Often times these little things are not suitable for him, but Star Monsters don’t have little parts. Nothing to fall off. They are all solid moulded plastic and are suitable for ages 3 and up. I was very happy to have a few packs of these little Monsters in my goody bag from the day. Not as happy as L when he got hold of them though.

The concept behind Star Monsters is that they are stars that have fallen to Earth and when they land, they merge with whatever they landed on to create little creatures. Think stars crossed with Hairdryers, ice cubes, ducks and microphones. They are sweet, colourful, fun and there are loads of them.

We recently got sent a fab bundle of even more Star Monster so we could have a better look at the range and what they offered. We got a few of the basic bags, in which you get two monsters and two stickers. These retail at £1.00, so perfect as a little treat, bribery or a well done gift. You don’t know what you’ll get so it’s really exciting.

We also got the Starter Pack which is only £4.00 and has the sticker book, a large poster which is a game sheet on one side and has all the monsters on the other side and a couple of basic packs of Star Monsters.

Finally we got one of the 5 Monster Blister Packs. These are great because you can see what you are going to get, so a nice way to help complete a collection. You get 3 standard monsters and 1 of the shadow monsters which are bit rarer, then finally there is one hidden monster but that is guaranteed to be either a silver or gold super rare Star Monster and that one will also come with it’s own special stand. These packs are £5.00.

I love how cheap these are, that I can find them in my local supermarket and that L will do almost anything for more of them. These are going to be a massive hit.

Disclosure – were sent our Star Monsters in return for an honest review.
