My baby boy is now 6 years old. SIX!! How did that even happen? This year I was very clear to him that he could either have a party with all of his school chums, or he could have a special day out with his bestie.
He opted for a special day out, which was lovely and perfect (and a real relief as it was cheaper and more fun for me) but I had a surprise up my sleeve for him. As a treat I said he could invite three friends round for a birthday tea after school, so he could have cake and a but of fun.
Is it only me or has party season really kicked off? With a party next week and two in April the kid has a better social life than I do. Trouble is, gifts! What do you get? He has only been at school since September, one of these kids I don’t know at all, one I know the mum but have no idea what the girl likes and the third I think I have an idea but I’m honestly far from sure.
Enter Zuru, with a great range of toys they are well and truly to the rescue.
I cannot believe that tomorrow is your birthday and you will be five years old, this year has flown by and we have done so much. Spending your fourth birthday at Chessington still seems like a recent memory, but it was a year ago, a whole year. How?
Oh I have been wanting to write this for so long but life has very much got in the way. Last year for L’s birthday we spent the weekend at Chessington World of Adventures. It was amazing. AMAZING.
I’m not really sure why we ended up going to Chessington for his birthday, I’d just been browsing the internet one night and saw that there was a great offer for a hotel stay and two days park entry for around £140 and that we could go for his actual birthday.
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about my plans for the coming month. No New Year’s Resolutions here, I don’t believe in them, just my usual plans for the coming month.
Oh my word tomorrow is your birthday and you will be four years old and I literally don’t know where the time has gone. It honestly seems like 5 minutes ago I was writing something very similar for your third birthday and trying to cling to you being a toddler.
I love sending and receiving cards. I always have a stock in the house for emergencies and forgotten birthdays but as a general rule I like to pick something special for each person. Ayoma Cards have a new subscription box service that allows me to do both.
Zoe sells completely handmade and personalised greetings cards on her Etsy shop, which you should completely check out. But she has also launched Ayoma Cards Monthly, a new monthly subscription box service for the cards and I have tried it out.
