Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is my Autumn wish list. With the new season upon us here are just a few things I would like to do, achieve or get this Autumn.
We’d never been to an outdoor cinema before and were both really excited. It would be a lovely way for us to spend an evening together. We roped my parents in to babysit and finally after months of waiting it was time for out night out. Continue reading Rain and Popcorn – My Weekend→
This week it was my bestest friend’s birthday and the week before it was her daughter’s, so what better thing to do than to throw them a mini birthday party. Thank to The Great Little Party Company that was easy.
For my birthday I was given a great new book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends to help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday and on Wednesday’s I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks, I’ve been completely disorganised which is why I didn’t write up my favourites last week but I’ve been busy having a lot of fun.
This plus that equals…. why I love Christmas in July
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about Christmas in July. The time of year all the big brands, supermarkets and high street stores showcase their Christmas ranges.
It’s that time of year when we get to spoil all the great dad’s out there. Father’s Day is Sunday 19th June, so not long to go and that’s good because I love Father’s Day, I probably enjoy it a bit more than I do Mother’s Day but it can be a struggle finding a great gift so here are a few idea’s for you all. HERBERT WOODS HITS 90 YEAR BOATING HISTORY MILESTONE
Herbert Woods 90th Birthday
As you know we have enjoyed holidays with Herbert Woods, used the boats, relaxed in a cottage and explored the Broads with them, so I’m very excited to tell you about their birthday plans and hopefully we’ll see you there.
Herbert Woods, who trained as an apprentice boat builder in Potter Heigham in 1907, was one of the first pioneers of Broads Tourism and now the company, which he formed in 1926 and is still going strong today, celebrates its 90th birthday this year with a grand Regatta being planned on Sunday 10th July 2016. When the guys at Rust-Oleum got in touch a couple of weeks back to see if I fancied taking part in a bit of a blogger challenge they were running to create a wedding craft the timing couldn’t have been better.
As you all know my sister is getting married next year and I am one of her bridesmaids, so far, as part of my Project Bridesmaid series, I have been focusing on myself and losing some weight so I’ll look good on the day. The time has come, however, to start actually taking care of my real duties. Continue reading How to Make A Wedding Tree – Project Bridesmaid→
I have already been lucky enough to review a couple of the Boxcitement Subscription Boxes and I loved them, so I was more than happy to take a peak at the Animal Magic Box they sent out last month.
If you missed my previous reviews Boxcitement is a subscription box service that sends you a letterbox friendly box filled with lovely things, designed to excite, perfect for people who love to give gifts and receive them too, with cards, stationery, jewellery, the cute and the kitsch.
Hartley’s Jelly kindly sent me an amazing looking alternative to chocolate eggs made using layers of jelly. I definitely wanted to try this, I mean look at the picture.
