We were lucky enough to be sent a #makeitscary gift hamper and we’ve had some real fun.
Oh my word tomorrow is your birthday and you will be three years old and I literally don’t know where the time has gone.
You have changed so much this year it is hard to know what to say to you.
I asked him to smell the flowers, picturing a gorgeous shot in my head, this is what he does.
More than anything I want you to know how loved you are and how special you are. I hope you know this anyway and it is doesn’t need to be written down.
I’ll be honest. I hadn’t heard of Star Monsters until really recently. Shocking as they are now in their second series. When I went to FunFest a few weeks ago they had a stand and we got chatting. Straight away I could tell they would be something L would love. Continue reading Star Monsters→
1 Family Ticket up for grabs to an exclusive screening of the new movie STORKS
Nurture Fruity Water+ is the first functional drink of its kind targeted specifically at young children (from 1 year) with added nutrients to support immunity and lower naturally occurring sugar – have teamed up with me to offer ONE lucky reader and their family the chance to attend an exclusive screening of the NEW animated film, STORKS (Warner Bros.) on 19th October 2016 in London – PLUS a case of each delicious flavour of Nurture Fruity Water+ (Cherry & Strawberry and Orange & Pineapple)!
Good quality, fun and educational gifts for small children. That’s what Gifts for Little Hands are all about, so when they got in touch to see if we would like to review a few items, of course I said yes.
We love reading to L, it’s part of our bedtime routine. I regularly ignore age ranges on books too, and I’m so glad I did as otherwise I would have never discovered the wonderful Whimsy Wood series by Sarah Hill. I couldn’t be more excited to get to read book 9 Fearne Fairy and the Chocolate Caterpillar.
Whimsy Wood Fearne Fairy
I’ll quickly explain why I love the Whimsy Wood books so much. Based in a lovely magical, woodland. They are soft and warm and filled with great fun and a strong sense of the natural world. They are the book form of that idyllic childhood feeling we all want our kids to have. You can read my previous reviews here and here. Continue reading The Whimsy Wood Series→
Who else struggles for space in their house? Hands up. I know we do and the older L gets the worse it seems to become. His toys seemingly multiply overnight, not to mention the fact that as he has grown his toys have too.
The new play tent being inspected
For ages now we have wanted to get him some form of play house, but we physically haven’t had anywhere to put one, apart from the garden and have you seen how much a wooden playhouse for the garden costs! To have a playhouse in his room would mean not being able to open his wardrobe. To have one in the sitting room would either mean not being able to see the TV or not being able to open the door, neither of which are good options.
The one thing that I have always felt has been missing from our garden is a water feature. But with L I have to be careful over what I pick. It has to be a child friendly water feature. I have to have confidence it that. Of course I turned to Primrose, with such a wide range of stock they have never let me down.
The barren spot in our garden I wanted to spruce up
Pickin’ Chickens is a fun new game from Drumond Park. We’ve been lucky enough to get it early and have been testing it out at home. I also have one to giveaway.
As it is aimed at ages 4+ it should have been too much for L, but like most Drumond Park games we’ve been able to adapt the rules so he can play it now. Although with the little chicken counters I have had to keep a beady eye on him.
Pickin’ Chickens
L has adored this game. I have actually had to hide it. The idea is simple, spin the wheel and uncover a chicken coop. Keep spinning until you’ve collected all four colours of chicken. The added fun part is the fox that springs from the middle. If he catches you then you have to give one chicken back. He loves the fox! Continue reading Pickin’ Chickens Review & Competition→
Barbecue Party from Drumond Park is the ideal game for the summer. We’ve been testing it out at home and have one to giveaway.
As it is aimed at ages 4+ the lovely folk at Drumond park were aware it was a little too grown up for L, but as my friends all have older kids it’s nice to have something in the house for them to play with.
Thumbs up for Barbecue Party
Of course as soon as it arrived it was unpacked ready for the older ‘children’ to play with. By this I blatantly mean the husband and I, so we set it up one evening after L had gone to bed. Continue reading Barbecue Party Review & Competition→
