Halloween is one of my favourite holidays. The pumpkins, the weather, the fact hot chocolates are now acceptable and all the colours and fun that come with it. It’s not just for kids and it’s not just about Trick or Treating.

JUNKO – The Perfect Boredom Buster
Mummy I’m bored. Says the child surrounded by toys and distractions. How many times do you hear this? Especially over the summer holidays! I’m always on the lookout for different activities that I can have on hand for these moments, over the half term we tested out a couple of the sets on offer from Planet JUNKO and we are both super impressed. Last weekend we got sent a fab box of crafting goodies from The Creation Station so we could get creative and make some things based around some amazing Tiny Pop shows like My Little Pony, Super Grover 2.0 and Cookie’s Crumby Pictures. We had a blast making everything and better still thanks to Tiny Pop’s latest idea, Show and Tell, we’ve been able to share our creations with them for an opportunity for them to be featured on air and maybe even win a prize!

Sleepover fun with SO DIY
Do your kids have sleepovers yet? L seems to be in the minority amongst his friends in that he does. L and his best friend from nursery have had several sIeepovers and they love it. Even If they are little terrors.
It helps that we are good friends with the parents and that both of us are happy for the other to look after and tell each others children what’s what!

Learning to Knit with LoveCrafts
At the end of last year I was asked by LoveCrafts if there was anything new on the craft front I would like to learn in the new year. Now as you all know, I love my crafts and cross stitch, embroidery, papercrafts, jewelry making and more have all all been staples of my crafting life. However, for the longest time, both crochet and knitting have eluded me.

Many a time I have tried my hand at both crafts, having slightly more success with knitting than crochet, but never finishing a project. After a bit of thought I decided crochet was probably still a bit out of my reach but I could actually learn how to knit.
