On Friday night we were invited to the preview evening for the amazing The Snowman and The Snowdog Bricklive Tour that launched at Banham Zoo this weekend.
Banham Zoo is the first zoo in the UK to host this new brick trail inspired by The Snowman and The Snowdog. The tour is running until the 5th January 2020 so you’ve plenty of time to pop along and see it.
From the moment we arrived it was just magical. Trees covered in lights everywhere you look, from the carpark guiding you in and as you walk through an archway into Thursford the magic only increases. With animatontric huskies barking their greeting and even more lights than you would have thought possible.
You may remember a couple of weeks ago I shared that intu Chapelfield would be hosting some rather large bugs in the centre for a fun and interactive tour. Well we went and enjoyed a sneak peak of the tour on the opening morning so I thought I’d share it with you.
I think we are lucky to live in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. With fabulous coastline, nature reserves and amazing walking pretty much wherever you turn. This summer I can barely think of a day where we haven’t been out exploring it, but all to often I miss huge chunks of what there is on offer as I’m travelling. Greater Anglia agree, which is why they think you should travel by train, where you will always have the best seat (and view) in the house.
Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to a fabulous press day at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse to try out some of their fun summer activities. We had a brilliant day, really good fun and lovely to explore somewhere I haven’t visited for at least 15 years!
This summer we visited Pensthorpe Natural Park for the first time, ridiculous as we are local! It is amazing. Really amazing. We had the best day. There is so much to do we can’t wait to visit again to catch the bits we missed and to repeat our fave bits. I can’t sing its praises enough but I shall try to keep this review a reasonable length, promise.
We visit the Sea Life Centre at Hunstanton about once a year or so. We enjoy a visit to Hunstanton but it is a bit of a drive for us, so don’t go often, but adding a visit to the Sea Life centre makes it a great day out.
So the school holidays are over and the weather is changing, everyone is feeling a little blue. What better way to lift everyone’s spirits than with a family day trip to ZSL London Zoo?! Thanks to the guys at Buyagift you could win a family ticket.
If you haven’t heard of Buyagift they provide a wide range of gift experiences, from dining out to racing cars and brilliant family days out.
Last Monday the kid and I headed into Norwich for a fab influencer party at Norwich Castle. An amazing way to kick off the summer holidays I think you’ll all agree!
Norwich Castle is already a firm favourite of ours. I’ve been visiting since I was a child and we’ve loved watching it change and evolve over the years. It’s now a super easy day out for us to enjoy with L, it’s got a bit of everything and we can always find something to do that suits his mood. If it’s checking out the animals in the natural history section, riding a chariot with the Iceni or learning about WW2 we can do it.
